Steep climb up to the hotel but lovely

Nice hotel ,just be aware it’s at the top of the citadel and very steep climb / walk from the station …. friendly staff and all English speaking as well as French , the hotel was having some refits and decorating but it didn’t interfere with our stay, our room was large and clean and felt welcoming and all your toiletries, were in the bathroom . If you needed razor, shower cap ,needle cotton , you can ask at the desk no charge just a better way of not wasting unwanted items being discarded . There were even robes( very nice thick cotton), slippers and an umbrella you can use and if you liked them you could buy new ones the main desk . We found the breakfast over priced with such a small selection of goods so used outside cafes instead,
And did not like the restaurant that was situated within the hotel ( Boulay) we were dismissed from the entrance in the hotel lobby by the staff and told to go to the front desk ( so had to walk through the tables to the front door) only to be told “ did we have a reservation “ when I said no was promptly told it’s a 30/45 min wait , so we walked straight out the door to a beautiful bistro two doors down,

Hello,
Thank you for taking the time to share such a detailed review. We're delighted that you enjoyed our welcoming and spacious room, the cleanliness, and the thoughtful amenities, including the robes, slippers, and complimentary essentials available upon request. It's also wonderful to hear that our team made you feel welcome during your stay.
We appreciate your understanding while we completed some refurbishment work, and we're pleased it didn't impact your visit.
We're sorry, however, that both our breakfast offering and your experience at Chez Boulay did not meet your expectations. We understand how disappointing it is to feel unwelcome, and we regret that your first impression of the restaurant led you to dine elsewhere. Your comments have been shared with the appropriate teams, as courteous and attentive service is something we strive to provide at every point of your stay.
Thank you again for your valuable feedback. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back on a future visit to Québec City and provide an even better experience.
Warm Regards,
Nickolas Verrecchia

We were welcomed to a clean room, great staff and a well maintained pool and gym area. I won’t stay any where else when I’m in Quebec City.

Leonard's Recs Were Spot On!

Hotel Manoir Victoria was the perfect home base for exploring Québec City. The location couldn't be better—just steps from Old Québec's charming streets, restaurants, shops, and historic attractions, making it easy to experience everything on foot.
The hotel strikes a great balance between historic charm and modern comfort. The rooms and common areas were stylish, updated, and very comfortable, making it a relaxing place to return to after a day of sightseeing. The elevators were a little on the slow side but it is an older building
The service was great. The young lady who checked us in (I wish I remembered her name!) was friendly, warm, welcoming from the moment we arrived. A special mercí to Leonard, front desk & Concierge, whose recommendations for things to see, do, and eat were spot on. His local knowledge really enhanced our visit.
Friendly staff, modern accommodations, and an unbeatable location! Would happily stay here again.

great location, clean, nice staff. one of the two elevators was out of service, which made it surprisingly inconvenient to use the pool, come in and out, etc

Very nice hotel. Shuttle service was especially helpful as we had very early departures and a very late return. Food in restaurant was very good. Breakfast was included and also very good.
