Disappointed

Very, very disappointed with my experience at this hotel because the floor is warped, the smoke detector is not connected, no bath mat, no safety bar in the tub, non-smoking room but it smells like cigarettes. It leaves a lot to be desired.

We had booked a family room with a balcony in the suites. When we arrived we found the staff to be all business. We were hurried out the door without any conversation at all. They were not rude -just not wasting time with us. That part of the building smelt like masked old cigarettes.
The sign outside said that they no longer have carpets. That made me quite worried since it already looked shady.
When we opened the door to the building I gagged. I don't know what the smell was but it was awful. -the next day the hallway carpet was steam cleaned so it was better but still damp/musty. They need to get some ventilation in the old building- open a few windows.
The room was pleasant. The beds were wrapped in a protector and seemed new. They were comfortable and the pillows were lovely. The water pressure in the shower was glorious. The room had a weird smell - maybe a detergent or cleaner. The smell wasn't very nice but was much better than the halls.
For whatever the reason, our family room had a gadget on the wall to rent adult movies. We weren't impressed with that. It seems like a lot of effort is going into updating the rooms and then this really undid that clean feel.
Our balcony was a nice addition but the patio doors didn't lock and there was no screen. It was nice to have but the patio furniture needs updating.
Overall, the rooms were good but the facility was gross. The price was good but I would have paid a bit more money for a friendly host and less odour.

Value for money. Pool hours are not mentioned correctly opens for a small duration in a day.

Mold in the shower grout around the tub with that orange stuff in the grout on the shower walls that indicates it hasn’t been washed in a long time. The last persons towels were hanging up behind the bathroom door to the vinyl flooring wasn’t even cut and installed right in the common area meaning they moved. You were able to walk on them to feel the floor underneath move like it had very bad water damage. Only good thing was the bed was comfortable
