Discover!

A real favorite! The view of the river is simply magnificent, a real haven of peace. The evening atmosphere around the campfire was magical and conducive to the beautiful encounters we made on site. The owner and volunteers were exceptionally kind, always attentive and available. We had a glitch on the road, and they were very generous to welcome us later than expected. The kitchen is very well equipped, which allowed us to prepare good meals like at home. The place is also perfect for quiet teleworking, with a nice connection and an inspiring setting. We will return without hesitation!

Need renovations (windows should open when it’s hot!) - nice location, clean, friendly staff

The hostel has a wonderful sea view, the staff is very friendly and good advice. The atmosphere is friendly. There is a beautiful communal kitchen with several stoves and fridges where we can store our food (in well identified baskets) and where we can also cook as at home. There are new, modern and clean communal showers. The beds in our family room were comfortable. The room was very clean.
It is an old hostel that has a lot of potential and an exceptional location. Renovations have been made, but there is still a lot to do! During our stay, they were working on setting up a cafe/small restaurant/cream shop, which will surely be an asset!
I would have liked to put 5 stars, BUT I can’t say we had a good night. On the contrary, this is the worst night of our two-week trip!
First, we went there in early June on a beautiful sunny day. In our private room for 4 people on the second floor named “Little Gaspé”, they had kindly kept the curtains closed during the day, but it was still very hot there when we arrived. Too hot! Since the evenings are cool on the seaside, this should not have been a problem, BUT it was impossible to open them! To keep closed the 2 old crank windows visibly due to be changed (one of the windows was even broken), they put screws!!! It is therefore impossible to open them, not even a little, to have fresh air. We were really hot and we did not sleep well at all!!! Really not fun!
Then, after an active day and in preparation for another active day, we wanted to go to bed not too late. Unfortunately, we realized that our room was just above the dining room. It was noisy (music, loud people, etc.) until late... well past 11pm...
Finally, the ceiling light in our room was not working. The only light we had was a small bedside lamp.
If we had another room with functional windows and away from the kitchen and common living room, our experience would probably have been more positive... but there no!
I really recommend that they repair or change the windows of this room and warn people that this family room is above common areas which can be very noisy until late evening. Had I known, I would have chosen another room... (or another accommodation)!

Good experience even with family, liked the shared kitchen

We had a wonderful stay at this international auberge! The atmosphere was vibrant and welcoming, with a great mix of travelers from everywhere coming to visit region. Our room was clean and comfortable, and the common areas were very well-organized and spotless. The staff and volunteers were incredibly kind and friendly — they even played with our son, which made us feel truly at home.
Even as a family, we felt completely comfortable and included in the lively and youthful vibe. It was such a nice balance — fun, relaxing, and full of great conversations and meaningful encounters.
One thing that really stood out was the sense of community there. Whether you’re traveling solo, with friends, or with family, this auberge brings people together in the best way. We highly recommend it and will definitely be back!
