True ambassador of Rimouski!
My friend and I traveled from Toronto by car, and after a long 12-hour drive, we arrived at Hôtel Saint-Germain tired and ready to relax. That’s when we met Steven (Stephan), the concierge — and he immediately made us feel welcome and at ease.
Steven made our check-in such an easy and pleasant experience. His warm smile, great energy, friendly personality, and wonderful sense of humour were exactly what we needed after such a long day on the road. He’s bilingual, professional, incredibly helpful, and genuinely seems to love what he does.
We also tried our best to communicate with Steven in French. Even though our French is a little rusty, he encouraged us to keep speaking French and even congratulated us on our efforts. That small gesture meant a lot to us and made us feel comfortable rather than self-conscious. Every interaction with Steven was fun, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable.
Steven also gave us fantastic restaurant recommendations, and we couldn’t have been happier with his suggestions. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was wonderful, and it was clear that he knows the best places in Rimouski. His local recommendations added another special touch to our stay.
What stood out most was how naturally Steven connected with us. He went beyond simply doing his job — he made us feel like welcomed guests and made every interaction something to look forward to.
After driving 12 hours from Toronto, meeting Steven was the perfect welcome to Rimouski. His warmth, humour, great energy, encouragement, and exceptional hospitality made a lasting impression on us.

Beautifully appointed room with fantastic spa shower and stand alone soaker tub. Bed was very comfortable, climate control great . Space for working during the daytime was spacious . Proximity to the cycling path along the river was great .

Excellent hotel!
The room is huge and includes a small kitchen. It was written partial river view, but we could see it very well! We were able to see some magnificent sunsets! The staff is also very pleasant :)

Very pleased with our stay at the St Germain in Rimouski - great room with amazing shower and very convenient and fully equipped kitchenette and Nespresso coffee maker (thanks!); great view over the bay and easy walking distance to a lot of amazing little restaurants and shops. Staff was amazing. Will stay again if we are in town.

Disappointed
Unfortunately, I am very disappointed with how my situation was handled; I expected much better treatment and follow-up. Last night, I placed my running shoes under the heater while it was turned off. When I woke up this morning, I found them completely burnt because the heating was turned on late at night
None of the managers or staff members bothered to address the issue properly with me. All I received was a generic apology via email. The shoes are brand new from the brand 'On' (OC) and cost $140 USD. I am extremely dissatisfied with this customer service. Management didn't even bother to make a simple phone call to inquire about what happened
