A large corporate Hilton hotel with no surprises

Hampton Inn by Hilton in Sudbury is just what you expect from this brand anywhere in North America. A large corporate hotel with no surprises.
It is an easy short drive from Trans-Canada Highway (Highway 17). There is a large free parking. A short walk across parking lots takes you to a selection of eateries.
There is a gym and indoor pool. Lifts to all floors. 24 hour reception. Rooms have fast WiFi, microwave, coffee maker, fridge and AC which provides heat too.
Efficient, courteous check in.
Breakfast buffet was extensive and rapidly replenished. Hot and cold options.
Everything was clean and tidy. The room was large and beds comfortable. Good quality toiletries. Adequate soft towels. Quiet night's sleep.
Reasonable price for Hilton members.

The hotel is modern and clean. Breakfast was pretty good, the usual hotel assortment. Loved the pool area, it was warm and we enjoyed it

Our stay wasn’t great and we won’t return on our frequent trips to Sudbury. The room configuration we reserved (king with sofa bed) for 3 wasn’t available due to a maintenance issue. No attempt to contact us before checking in. Hotel was sold out and could only offer a king room. Cot was offered after we expressed there was three staying there. Had to visit three different utility room to locate cot. Offered small compensation for inconvenience. Next day we noticed there was only two body towels and 2 washcloths in room

Clean, bright room. The over all hotel was what I expected. Lots of parking, breakfast was good and easy to find.

The jacuzzi tub in my room had a ring of dirt/soap scum in it that required cleaning before I was able to use it. I did wonder how much moisture and mould might be hiding in the carpet surrounding the jacuzzi tub 😬. (I expected different flooring in a room with a tub on it).
Other than that, the room was clean, pool and breakfast were great.
