Touch of Irish Hospitality in Kitsilano Vancouver

I had a very brief stay over the weekend in Vancouver and picked the Auld Dublin Guest house for it’s proximity to where I needed to be. I don’t often do B&B’s but after this experience I will be sure to try them again.
The house is very well located near Oak and 19W street in Kitsilano. Close to all the Granville Street restaurants and relatively close to UBC. The home is a lovely old place with a beautiful garden. The room that I got had an ensuite. The Bathroom was pretty small but the room was very comfortable. A nice view of the garden was also lovely.
The owner, Helen, is very helpful and friendly. She gave me great ideas on where to eat and drink on my short visit to Vancouver. Unfortunately I didn’t get the chance to try her amazing breakfast but I hear it’s great! Next time.
I will definitely stay at the Auld Dublin guest house again without any hesitation!

Vancouver hospitality

The lockable room with ensuite was charmingly furnished and very comfortable. Helen was very welcoming and happy to provide any local information. Breakfast was included in the price and was delicious. There was a lounge room for the guests and a garden area as well. Public transport was convenient and easy to catch and local shops were in easy walking distance.

Visiting Good Friends

We have stayed in B&Bs many times, probably our preferred type of lodging. From the first time we contacted our host we felt like we were going to visit old friends. The house is on a quiet street in a nice residential neighborhood. Our room is comfortable although the bathroom is tiny (Victorian standard) it is functional. We slept very well and awoke to enjoy a delicious home cooked breakfast along with some excellent coffee and tea. Our host is extremely gracious and goes out of her way to make us feel at home. Would highly recommend Auld Dublin if you are looking for a nice place in the Vancouver area.

Home from home

Helen is a warm and friendly hostess, very attentive to our needs but in no way intrusive. Accommodation is of a high standard as is the comfort level. With a bus around the corner, access to the downtown is easy. I would have no hesitation in recommending a stay.

Stayed 3 nights in August. Helen was a fantastic host and gave great ideas about what to do. Delicious breakfasts and very clean comfortable rooms. Easy short journey by train into down town Vancouver. 0verall highly recommended.
