Hospitality, like getting home
My experience at Hotel Ohana has been simply wonderful and unforgettable. It is not only a beautiful place that invites rest, silence, unplugging and living Rapa Nui in all its glory, but, above all, it is a place where human warmth makes all the difference.
The facilities are comfortable, cozy and carefully thought out so that one really feels at home and, at the same time, in full connection with the magic of the island. It breathes tranquility, security and an atmosphere of respect for the environment that is deeply appreciated.
But what really makes Hotel Ohana so special is its team. The service is simply exceptional, of a quality and warmth rarely found. Camila, Valentina and Cris have been incredibly concerned, attentive, loving and detailed; always available, always with a smile, making every moment of the stay feel close and cared for. You can tell they love what they do and that is conveyed in every gesture.
Don Rodrigo, the chef, is a real luxury. Its cuisine is spectacular, but beyond that, its warmth, simplicity and sympathy make each meeting a pleasure. Always attentive, close and willing to share with affection his work and his passion for gastronomy.
Don Cristian Arévalo, tour guide, is an eminence on the island. It has been a privilege to tour Rapa Nui with him. His knowledge is profound, his wisdom unique and his respectful look at Rapanui history and culture invaluable. As a former islander, it is a fundamental part of what is now the island, and learning from it has been a gift.
I also want to highlight Don Jayme, Don Marco and Don Gabriel, the taxi drivers who work with the hotel. Their friendliness, concern and excellent disposition made each transfer safe, pleasant and close.
And of course, Don Felipe, owner of the hotel: thank you for having formed such a humane and wonderful team. You can notice that behind Hotel Ohana there is a vision of care, respect and real hospitality.

The hotel staff is a gem in this place. So friendly and helpful. Every single one of them, special shout out to Valentina and Maura. The place is spectacular and clean with a beautifully manicured landscape. Breakfast is plentiful. Very close to the airport. Only drawback is far from town and need to take a taxi to go anywhere but the staff was helpful to arrange for transportation. Very pleasant and peaceful stay.

We could not have asked for a better experience and accommodation in Rapa Nui. The staff were incredibly helpful, the breakfast fresh and delicious every day. I would recommend Hotel Ohana to anyone traveling and would not consider any other accommodation were I to travel again.

I loved staying here. The rooms are spacious and beautiful and I especially enjoyed the large balcony. The staff is excellent. The only negative is the location of the hotel which is far from town and isolated. The hotel will order you a taxi, though ($6-$8 one way to town) and respond very quickly on WhatsApp so it really wasn't an issue.
