This was a perfect experience for what we wanted. Carla is amazing. Pick up was easy. She arranged a rental for us to use. The lodge was secluded (which we loved and wanted). It was clean and view of the ocean from our window and balcony along with the stars at night beyond perfect. We will stay here every time we visit.

Owners cancelled booking
We booked this property through Hotels.com and were very disappointed. After traveling all the way to the island, we were told that our booking had been cancelled without any notice, despite being booked 2 months prior. We tried to contact the property directly, but they hung up on us. Even Hotels.com attempted to reach them, and the property simply did not answer the phone. This left us, a family with children stranded and scrambling for alternative accommodation. Extremely unprofessional and unreliable — would not recommend.

Peaceful location away from town with stunning views
Our stay at Maunga Roa was absolutely delightful. While it’s a bit far from town, the peaceful and serene location more than makes up for the distance. The villas are beautifully designed and offer gorgeous views of the Pacific Ocean from the little verandahs. They’re well-equipped for cooking and living, making it easy to settle in for a few days and enjoy the relaxed pace of life. The peacefulness of the area is unmatched, and the night skies are truly spectacular—a stargazer’s dream!
Being able to rent a car directly from the owners made getting around the island hassle-free, and allows you to explore Easter Island without any restrictions.
We left with wonderful memories and can’t wait to return to Maunga Roa for another stay.

We recently stayed at Maunga Ro Eco Lodge, and it was truly an unforgettable experience! The lodge is located on a beautiful farm, offering a secluded and peaceful atmosphere with stunning ocean views. Despite feeling like you’re in a private paradise, it’s also conveniently close to everything you need on the island.
The house itself is cozy and well-equipped, providing the perfect balance between feeling at home and having the privacy you need to relax. The surrounding nature and open space make it a perfect spot to unwind after exploring the island’s wonders.
What made our stay even more special were the owners. They are incredibly warm, helpful, and welcoming, making us feel like part of their family while still respecting our privacy. They were always available to offer tips about the island and made sure we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay.
