Great place to stay on Easter Island

There is no international chain hotel on Easter Island. I had thoroughly researched and picked this small resort for its modern rooms and proximity to the sunset view point, Abu Tahai. It’s 25 minutes by walk from downtown which is literally just a street with bars and restaurants. But the best restaurant “Te MOAI Sunset” for dinner is only 3 minutes by walk away. Buying grocery may be inconvenient and the resort has no meal/drink service. But the room is big and clean. We reserved a sea view room right beside the jacuzzi. The kitchen of the room has everything we need including microwave, fridge, plates, cups, bottle opener, and cutlery. Staffs are really friendly and helpful.

Secluded location, close to water and moai, quiet clean spacious rooms but far from almost everything.

I had a back room, zero view from mine and more than half of the rooms, some had a balcony mine did not. There was nowhere to hide from the sun in the afternoons, and there is no reception after 3pm. Room was clean and spacious, but no housekeeping for 4 days. No bottled water or any food available, and the nearest restaurant is about 400m away with any other restaurant or convenience for even water over 1km away. It's nice to be secluded, and very close to some Moai, but without a vehicle it's pretty isolated, and nothing to do at hotel. There's a full kitchen but I'm not sure most people would want to travel so far to get groceries etc and cook there since other than the pool and hot tub there's nothing there. The single reception staff (Janis) that was there from 7am-3pm was very pleasant and helpful. If you want a quiet place to sleep, and take quick dip in the very small pool, and not talk to anyone, it's fine. But if you want a hotel and town experience, close to bars & restaurants this is not the place for you. More like a B&B than a hotel tbh.

Overall, good experience. However, they charge $50 per day to clean your room (I may have missed it, but it was not advertised prior to booking)

Hotel is very nicely decorated with great service. Location and amenities are amazing but rhe floor could use a very deep mopping after each guest.

Personnel not service-minded.

The rooms are nice and fresh, the location of the hotel is excellent. Breakfast is placed into the room’s fridge the day before, which limits the choice substantially. Unfortunately, the personal is very unfriendly and highly inflexible. I asked for a second glas of juice in the morning, in exchange for other breakfast items, but this wish was denied.
