Stay in the history of Pucón
An emblematic place with a lot of history to tell in its living rooms, in the outdoor rest areas, its gardens, and the infinite view through the rooms that face Lake Villarrica.
The family suite had its own fireplace and a shared bathroom with two separate beds, which made it suitable for the family group that we were.
I requested a special service for my husband's birthday, and they succeeded by welcoming us with it in the room.
The memorable food was the venison with roasted apple puree and red berry jam, also the pumpkin risotto with caramelized onions, but the star of the restaurant was Camila with her service, hospitality, and ability to make you feel part of the place, smiling, suggesting, and clarifying doubts. Those are the people who make the place great.
The atmosphere of the heated pool is splendid, and the landscape that accompanies it is as well.
The entire garden that surrounded it and its paths create a hiking panorama right there.
I would only suggest varying the breakfast and restocking more fluidly because the desire to eat passes while waiting for bread, or the eggs get cold until I get the same bread that wasn't arriving. As well as mentioning with a statement below the type of juice they had because they rotate a yellow juice they had previously and then another one arrives, and we never knew what it was.
If we overlook that part, everything else was memorable.

Keeping the “original” is different than abandoning the details.
We were with my husband just celebrating our anniversary and the truth that we were left with a bitter taste with the hotel.
We feel it is very left in relation to maintenance and details. We know the hotel is interested in keeping the original, which is what makes it iconic, but letting things deteriorate is not the option.
The dining room is as usual, its tables and chairs nice but there is a decoration of plants and lamps that does not look fresh, it looks old. Nor does lighting contribute.
Then the spa is abandoned, the restrooms old, dirty, and the mats old, faded and dirty too. The heated pool with paint skipped, access to the pool with loose cement, the jacuzzi also maintenance free. (Photos attached)
The room is with soft mattresses, bad pillows. And the bathroom also leaves to be desired because the shower has a glass that does not work and makes the floor wet and the bathroom door swells not allowing to close it properly. The very old sink faucets, the water does not come out well.
Anyway, a lot of details. We feel in the soul but I don't think we'll ever stay at this hotel again. We had been faithful in the comings to Pucón, but next time it will not be so.

We had a lovely 5 day stay at the hotel. It has a 90s feeling and I lived it. Every corner has amazing views. Staff is helpful and welcoming. Rooms are very clean and stylish. I definitely recommend this place and would like to visit again

Stunning views, world class food. Stuffed trout was amazing. We loved our relaxing stay there. Good pool and sauna. Fabulous staff.
