Comfortable hotel in Peurto varas with affiliated seafood restaurant

This hotel is located abt 20min walk from downtown. Other than being slightly further away from the heart of action, it provides clean & comfortable rooms. A full breakfast is served in the morning. The owner of this hotel also owns popular seafood restaurant Olla & guests get a 10% discount at Olla!

Bad Experience

Unfortunately I had an uncomfortable experience related to privacy during my stay.
On April 11 at around 3.30pm, a hotel official knocked on my room door and, without waiting for a reasonable amount of time, entered using a master key, while I was inside with my partner.
The most worrying thing was not only the fact, but the subsequent justification: it was indicated that, with no sign of “Do not disturb” and no immediate response, we proceeded to enter. In my opinion, this evidences an insufficient protocol to safeguard guest privacy.
In addition, subsequent interaction with staff was not the most appropriate.
The hotel indicated that it will review and strengthen its procedures, but without specifying concrete measures.
It is a point that should be improved urgently, as it directly affects experience and confidence.

The room was smelly, and my clothes require washing after return to remove it. May have been diesel smell from the trains outside.

Works in passing

A hotel that basically works for the night, is quite far from the most beautiful part of the village and has quite a lot of noise, you hear the quiet and the other rooms and corridors.
Very friendly staff, good breakfast and pretty clean

Disappointing compared to the photos posted

It is a very small hotel in a residential neighborhood away from everything nice about Puerto Varas. The rooms are cramped you hear everything they do in other rooms and the double bed is actually hopefully two places although I think it was queen. It is not a good place to spend time in the hotel, it serves if you ride by car and you will only get to sleep.
