Okay stay

We stayed here 5 nights to enjoy the landscapes this desert has to offer. The hostel was all fine with a nice inner garden. There were plenty of chill places to hang and plan. Some minor improvements could be a sign in front of the hostel. It was hard to find the entrance. And slightly more utensils for the kitchen.

Our happy days in San Pedro

Read a lot of reviews but finally i booked this place for our vacation in Atacama, And we loved this place. They accept only cash payments, Wifi was weak, but it was fine. Pretty clean, 2 kitchens, 4 toilets with showers. When we stayed there it was warm and quiet. Suggest the place to stay 100%. reasonable price and nice stuff. In the last 1-2 days it was a problem with matches.

Backpack clean and calm

I stayed 3 nights and I got what I have been told : clean and quite place.
I slept well as the beds in dorms are OK. Bathroom were simple and clean.
Staff were very nice.
There is one think that bothered me. The hostel is divide in two part; the first part has the reception and dorms, then cross the road and the second part has dorms, private rooms and kitchen. Basically, every time (for dorms only) you need to get into the hostel whether to the reception or to the kitchen side, you have to knock and wait. Then, ask them to open you the other part (kitchen). They were always nice and kind to do it but I always felt sorry when I was passing from the kitchen to my dorms and back...

Good clean hostel

This hostel is a 10-15 minute walk to the center of town. It's in a quieter part of San Pedro away from all the action. The kitchen was tiny but clean and a maid came in every day to tidy up the room and make the beds. Be aware that there is no sign outside so you will have to knock and make sure to tell tour operators to pick you up based on the address and not to expect a sign. We had booked directly with the owner over phone/email. When we got there they had double booked it through booking.com. They were prioritizing the booking.com reservation over us. I assume because they didn't want a cancellation on booking.com so it's probably best to book through booking.com. They were going to get us a different room without the private bathroom we had asked for but fortunately the booking.com reservation was canceled and we were given the room we reserved initially. Other than this the service was very good for San Pedro. Also unlike other hostels in the Atacama they had hot showers day and night. They stored our luggage after we had checked out and offered to let us take a shower. If you are traveling in a group of 4 and want cushier accommodations the family suite (habitación #3) is really nice, has a private bathroom, 2 bedrooms, and a common room. Overall was a good value for the price and would recommend.

Mala relación precio calidad

Cuando llegamos, nos enviaron a una habitación la cual no habíamos reservado, con otras condiciones, finalmente al querer irnos del hostal nos cambiaron de pieza. Es ruidoso de noche, suena el techo y las ventanas, tiene un portón que suena mucho de noche y de madrugada. El primer día el hostal tenía agua caliente, el resto de los días no, a pesar de que se les aviso que el agua estaba fría. Las camas están muy viejas y los resortes son molestosos. Hay pocos baños para la cantidad de gente y algunos quedan muy alejados. El exterior es lindo, tiene acogedoras áreas comunes y hay jabón en los baños. El personal fue muy amable y eficiente, pero la relación precio calidad no es buena, en nuestro caso pagamos 12.000 pesos la noche.
