Only if you want a “unique” experience.

Yeah… I’d recommend avoiding this area of Santiago. Can be quite dangerous, and if you don’t speak Portuguese or Spanish, you’re in trouble. Don’t go out after dark. Owner is very disorganized, security guards didn’t know we were coming. Guards were cool dudes and looked out for us, sparing them a 1 star rating. If you’re experienced as a hostel guest, this is definitely an affordable way to have some privacy for a few days
