Great stay

I liked the place very much, well Victorian style, the furniture and the rooms are all in this style which I found great because it is something that I like quite, the staff were super attentive to us

We didn't like it

The room is dark, without external windows, but with a window and door that access the restaurant, so there is confusion as soon as it opens. This morning we had to ask them to turn off the music, which was already loud at 6 AM, and now we can't rest in the afternoon. On top of everything, the room door that accesses the patio doesn't close, and we had to put a suitcase against it!!!
Then the hallway lights never turn off, so it's impossible to rest.
Breakfast is not a buffet and is limited to a few foods.

The worst hotel in downtown Santiago

From arrival, the service was bad. The hotel does not clean the room every day, since according to their policy, cleaning is every other day. This, of course, they do not inform you of publicly anywhere before booking. The facilities are from the 19th century, but very neglected, the room dirty. When I arrived, the bathroom was not completely clean. To be able to flush the toilet, you have to lift the lid or it doesn't work.
The shower is very narrow and it seems like it is going to fall apart (the floor sinks). The noise is very loud, since it operates as a restaurant, they ask you not to make noise at night, but they have music and people talking literally outside your room until past 9:00 PM.
The breakfast is pathetic. Carton nectar, mini coffee, yogurt and a sandwich. There are no vegetarian or vegan options. They serve you reluctantly and even disrespectfully.
When I complained about my room not being cleaned, the front desk staff got annoyed and ignored my requests.
When checking out, the manager confronted me about the complaint on Booking, and said that out of the goodness of their heart they had given me two towels when I was only one person. She spoke to me in a very disrespectful manner, typical of someone lacking education and good manners, therefore it is understandable that she works in this place.
I have stayed in many bad hotels all around the world, but this one is undoubtedly in the top 10. Do not stay here.

Our room has a moldy smell. It was at the top floor. The building and its infrastructure is pretty old so expect some noise from outside and pipes.
The location was good and staff was very helpful. Nice place for a short stay at the center.

I thoroughly enjoyed my stay at this hotel. From the moment we arrived, the staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. Daniella went above and beyond to ensure that my husband and I had a pleasant experience. She resolved our initial reason for visiting on the first day, allowing us to enjoy a bit of our trip. Oscar, an exceptional staff member, was particularly attentive to our needs. The entire staff was kind and accommodating, making our stay truly memorable. I highly recommend this hotel to couples. The continental breakfast offered traditional Chilean cuisine, adding to the overall experience.
