Basic but comfortable accommodation with the best of hosts

We had such a lovely time here. Olga, the owner, was so friendly and accommodating. She helped us get into the city on public transport (easy) and booked a taxi to the airport. She even let us leave our bags for a few days when we went to Easter Island, and then provided a spot for us to park our rental car when we returned a few days later. The location is not walkable to the city center, but it is very convenient to the airport, which is why we booked it. The room itself was very basic but comfortable with a shared bathroom. There were barking dogs across the street which were a bit bothersome. Breakfast was simple but plentiful. I’d highly recommend for the friendly host and convenient location!

BAD EXPERIENCE

HORRIBLE, BAD EXPERIENCE, TOOK A LOT OF TIME TO OPEN THE DOOR ALTHOUGH THEY WERE CALLED REPEATEDLY, ALSO OUTSIDE THE DOOR CAME OUT THAT YOU HAD TO SHOUT TO HEAR US AND OPEN THE DOOR... SO WHAT QUALITY WELCOME SHOUTING SO THEY CAN OPEN US UP. IN ADDITION, THE LADY INCREPA FOR MESSAGES FOR MAKING A BAD REVIEW THROUGH A PERSONAL REVIEW AND ASSESSMENT OF THE PLACE.
PLEASE IF YOU WANT TO AVOID BAD EXPERIENCES DO NOT BOOK AT THIS PLACE.

Does what it says on the tin.

This place is in a moderately dodgy area, and it is protected like Fort Knox, with no bell as I recall - so be sure to let the owner know your arrival time. It is easy to reach from the centre of Santiago by public transport, although the owner did not seem able to tell me how. There is very little close by - mainly heavily barred off-licences - and most of the takeaways seemed to be shut on the Saturday I was there, although I did find one eventually. The owner was very friendly. The place is a little eccentric, and my room was basic, without bedside light or table, but comfortable enough – except that there was no air conditioning, and keeping the window open was incredibly noisy because of the thousands of dogs barking all night (an occupational hazard in Chile, it seems); thus I barely slept. The shared bathroom was very much like one in someone's home, but very clean. The place did have abundance of shared living spaces though, both outside and inside, that were very pleasant. The owners had clearly gone to a lot of trouble with the self-serve breakfast, which was expansive, and available 24/7 for early flights. The owner was unable to organise taxis, instead recommending Uber and the like. In short, it's cheap and convenient for the airport, but bring your own dinner and some earplugs.

Very pleasant acommodation. Would stay again!

Amazing welcome, very kind and nice owner Olga. Acommodation feels like home. Super clean, nice sitting outside, good neighborhood. Breakfast was great, all you can choose. We were really happy. If you can grab uber from the airport, it costs only 7500 chilean pesos. Would stay again, thank you.

Basic room with great host

David is a great host, speaking perfect English and available 24/7 for his guest. He can arrange a taxi to the airport in the middle of the night for 10,000 CLP.
My room with shared bathroom was basic, clean, with no windows and no air con, just enough for a short sleep.
The main problem with this place is that it is very noisy, with music and dogs barking all night long.
