The Nangong Spring Season Hotel is a great family-oriented resort with a lot to like. Both the Chinese and Japanese restaurants had tasty food and were quick to bring our orders. The children’s playground was excellent, with a large, clean and brightly lit play area. The hotel water park was larger than I expected, although the main enclosed water park was closed. There was a significant quantity of black mould in the play area and some of the water toys were being held together with caulking, but it was serviceable. The hotel rooms were spacious and comfortable, although in dire need of maintenance. All in all our stay was great value for money and we would definitely consider returning.

This Hotel earns a straight C, but it is not horrible

Listen up tour group travelers. If you are in China on a cheap (e.g. UTO) tour, this
place is just fine. Yes, it is dated and tries hard to be fancier than it is. The floors are a little dirty, and the rooms are worn. This is not the Ritz. You did not pay for the Ritz. It is far away from all the Beijing landmarks. There are not many restaurants around, but the one we found was delicious. There is also a Bank of China ATM nearby if you need local cash. But it is not a bad hotel. I've stayed in bad hotels. This is just a tired hotel
that could use better much better wifi and housekeeping.

Glitzy & modern facade, but no soul

Located 'way out' on the western outskirts of Beijing (1-1/2 hours drive from Tiannamen Square) adjacent to a hot springs/spa facility. Friendly & efficient Reception caters to foreign tour groups, hotel contains few active facilities & shops, spacious rooms and bathrooms but NO English language TV channels, good breakfast food selection included but supper menu is forgettable (thank goodness there is a long row of food shops 500m southwest).

Nangong Spring Season Hotel - Tired, carpet dirty, service terrible

We stayed here as part of the Nexus Holiday 13 Day China Tour. The hotel looks great on the outside but our bathroom flooded, they told us there were no other rooms as the hotel was full. We called reception and they didn't understand a word we said, we had to use google translate to let them know the bathroom was flooded. They brought us about 10 towels down and we had to clean up the water ourselves.
The carpet in the room was terrible and dusty. Don't look under the bed as it's not pleasant at all. Other people on our tour had a blocked toilet which overflowed as well.
Breakfast was average at best. Apple Juice or so called Apple Juice was so watered down as was the percolated coffee, it tasted like dirty water. The hotel is way out in the middle of nowhere as well with not much around.
If you want to use the pool you have to pay extra. I wouldn't recommend this hotel to stay in at all.

China Discovery

Stayed here on 10 day tour, the pic make it look amazing BUT this place is dirty/smells bad/awful location. Centered in no where, if I was not on a paid tour, I would have chosen another hotel. The food was ok and smell of smoke just nasty...
