I think they did a mistake by giving me a used room 😂 but it's ok was really late at night I don't blame them the hotel is amazing and worth staying

A bit far to walk to the mtr station approx. 18 mins but dai pai dong next to the hotel and confronted the bus stop

I was there to attend the 28th Asian Youth Table Tennis Championships. The hotel is situated within a 5min walk to the Chongqing Yubei District Gymnasium so the location was excellent.
The hotel exceeded my expectations as it was big and spacious. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. We had a pleasant stay at the hotel.
There are supermarkets, convenience stores, various eateries in the vicinity so food is not a concern.
The only gripe my husband had was that the gym was a little rundown. Nonetheless, he managed to do what he needed with the weights and machines. And he was the only user of the gym.

Not a hotel to stay in for more than one night.
I was told the hotel was a 5-star hotel but upon arriving and seeing the out dated furniture and the lack of support staff, it was immediately apparent the hotel was a 3-star at best.
Nobody speaks English. To check in, check out, order room service, or food in the restaurant, or to pick up your laundry, nobody understands or speaks English.
At the breakfast bar, the only resemblance of food other than Chinese was…well none. You can order an egg but be willing to accept a fried egg because that’s all you'll get. The food was good tasting but don’t expect any international food.
Speaking of food, the only restaurant on the premises is a Chinese restaurant. They did have two restaurants on the top floor but they were closed. When I ordered food at the restaurant I was told after I had eaten, that I had to pay for the food and could not charge it to my room. A call to the sales department cleared that up and from then I could charge my food to the room.
I was told when I made a trip to their tea house that it cost $125 USD just to come into the tea house and that did not include the cost of the tea or coffee that you would order.
Anyone that has ever travelled to China during the Winter months knows all of the local hotels have the heaters set to a preset temperature and no adjustments can be made. Not to be discriminatory but most Asians like higher temperatures than Westerners. So it was always hot in my room for 2 1/2 weeks. Then the maid would open the windows during the day when I was at work and when I returned to the room, the air pollution that was outside was now in my room as well. I welcomed the cooler air but the pollution made me cough all night long.
The furniture in the lobby was beautiful in appearance but when you sat down, it was like sitting on a toilet seat because the wear and tear of the sofa made a hole in the middle of each sofa cushion. I was afraid a spring would poke through and jab me in the butt.
The area around the hotel had some nice walking areas as well as some shopping areas. There are some mom and pop restaurants in the area but if you want a little higher standard food you have to catch a taxi.
Would I stay there again….NO.
The morning of checkout, the lights in the lobby were turned off and nobody appeared to be around. It wasn’t until I noticed a female employee sleeping behind the front desk that she woke up and checked me out of the hotel.

The location of the hotel is good. It is close to the airport and there is a pick-up service. The price is affordable. The room is clean and tidy. The elevator is controlled by ladder, which is safe and secure. The young lady at the front desk served very well and even upgraded the suite. I forgot to book breakfast. I paid for it myself. There are many varieties of breakfast and it tastes good.
