Very nice hotel in a poor town

Jingdezhen is a very interesting historical Chinese town - known for beautiful ceramics and pottery. But, it is poor.
The Highwell Hotel is a very clean and modern (by Chinese standards) hotel. Room rates are the equivalent of about $50 USD for a very large, king-bed room with fantastic shower. The breakfast was perfectly fine. It's Chinese food, of course, so don't fret the Western food wish that some Western TripAdvisor reviewers suffer.
Go enjoy the most beautiful ceramics and pottery in the world. Come back to a hot shower and clean, comfortable room. It's all good!

Probably one of the better choices in Jingdezhen

Stayed here in December. For a Chinese hotel it's actually not too bad, the rooms were comfortable with a good bathroom and, important in the winter season, a heated room. The other advantage this hotel has that it provides free parking in an underground parking garage. Aside from the room the other areas in the hotel are not heated which means eating a cold breakfast wearing an overcoat. Also aside from breakfast the hotel has no dining facilities but there is a restaurant a block away from the hotel. Room service was not able to provide a beer, the drinks are all non alcoholic. Would I stay here again? Nah probably not, for my next trip I booked a different hotel, will let you know how that compares to this one.

いいホテルです。

最初に用意された部屋は、カードキーの不具合とシャワールームの排水詰まりで交換してもらいました。新しく準備された部屋には、ドリンク類がおかれておらず、少々困りました。英語は通じないと思った方がいいです。排水管トラブルの際に、please come my room. と言ったことも通じなかったようで、誰も来ませんでした。
地下に駐車場があり、案内してくださった方との待ち合わせなどには便利です。すぐそばに団地があり、そこの方の利用するスーパーは同じ並びで直近、隣と言ってもいい位置にあります。食品、衣料品、そこでまかなえますので、荷物の忘れ物に違い対応できます。また、visaカード対応のキャッシュコーナーも同じ並びにありますので、急な現金の準備には重宝します。
部屋は清潔です。
コンセントもふんだんにあります。
ドライヤーはありません。
バスローブは準備されていますが、浴衣のようなものはありません。
歯磨きセット、シャワーキャップ、石鹸、シャンプー、櫛は置いてあります。
wifiもあります。若干スピードが遅いという印象があります。
