Basic Western hotel right near the night market

Basic hotel in the center of Lanzhou, a couple blocks from the night market. This hotel was not the best, according to our guide (who did not provide advance suggestions for hotels) but the staff were friendly, the hotel location was good, we slept well, the room was large, and we were fine. Just leave extra time for the elevators (as many others have warned)! We chose the included breakfast and my husband was very happy with the options (I have celiac disease so I could not eat breakfast there.) We did like the convenient location, as we went to the night market for dinner.

Location very good and close to the Gansu Museum. Room was fantastic and spacious. Check in took a really long time - as foreigners our passports confused the front desk.
The lifts were very, very slow and we needed to wait about five minutes every time we needed them... Be warned if you are running late!

I enjoyed staying in this Holiday Inn hotel. The staff are super supportive which equates to their exceptional service. The hotel is close to the subway station, busses and taxis. It's very clean and has a nice sunset view. This Holiday Inn at the heart of Lanzhou City comes highly recommended!!

hotel in a building share with other residential flats

The hotel is not in the main road, instead located back of the street. Lobby is on the first floor, this hotel shares the building with other residential flats, which has many young ladies outside at night. Room is decent without any complain but I wont stay here next time.
