Excellent stay at the shangrila putian

The shangrila putian is conveniently located about 1.5 km away from the putian museum, just a stone throw away from the shou xi gong yuan - an excellent place for a run and to admire the natural beauty and opposite a shopping mall.
Reception service was friendly and staff were able to give excellent recommendations on what we could do for the day and telling us the best order for our itinerary. The plum juice at the lobby was excellent. Service was exceptional and the staff were all very warm and welcoming. We had a river view room, giving us a magnificent view of the park which is accessible from the hotel. Gym facilities were exceptional and felt brand new with a wide range of equipment.
Breakfast had sufficient variety and local dishes which tasted good.

Just like Capella, but at a fraction of the cost

Stayed at the Shangri-la Putian for 3 nights and the service was amazing.
The reception counter has a sour-plum drink that tasted very good, and there were also a selection of sweets for guests.
Some benefits of staying in the hotel include : (1) location: it is just opposite a shopping center, (2) it is next to a park/garden which is a good exercise/walking spot.
The service is also very sincere and even though it is in an area that is not too popular with tourists, the staff are well-trained, attentive, friendly, and warm, and is definitely the same as staying in other international hotel chains in bigger cities. We have stayed in the prestigious Valley Wing at Shangri-la Singapore, and the difference is very clear. The staff at Shangri-la Putian definitely does a much better job than the one in Singapore.
We dined at Shang palace during our stay, and service was faultless. The food tasted fantastic, the portions were huge, and Lydia was extremely proactive in offering to top-up the complimentary dining dishes.
During turn-down service, they even gave us a herbal soup.
Our hotel package included a spa voucher. When we requested to change the spa voucher to a different offer, the hotel very gladly obliged and called us back to inform us of the change. We have experienced hotels who simply forget about the guests' requests, which is very annoying, so this again showed that guests matter a lot in this hotel .
The breakfast staff were again very gentle, helpful, friendly, and pro-active- all excellent and well-trained staff that deserve commendation.
The service here is just like staying in a hotel like capella, but at a fraction of the cost.
At night, John , the Manager, also met us and told us to contact him if we encounter any issues
After staying here for 3 nights, I can confidently say that this is the hotel to stay at when visiting Putian. Even just going for the experience is worth the visit!

酒店位置在一个广场对面，旁边也有一个公园，很值得走。
服务非常温馨，体贴很有诚挚。虽然莆田的旅客不多，但是酒的服务可以跟其他大城市的国际品牌酒店相比。我们在新加坡酒店香格里拉的高级房住，价格昂贵，但是新加坡香格里拉的服务比不上莆田的香格里拉。差距悬殊。
我们在香乐园用晚餐。服务完美无缺，食物好吃，分量又大。服务也很积极，主动。
开夜床时，还给我们汤喝
酒店给我们spa券。我能要求换掉，酒店之后就打上来通知我们会给我们换成早餐券。有很多酒店都会忘记顾客的要求，但是这个酒店没忘记，看得出这个酒店很重视顾客的要求
早餐的服务照样完美。全部都积极主动，都值得表扬。
住在这里简直就像是住在嘉佩乐，只是价格比较实惠。
John, 总经理也在晚上跟我们说了一些话，并且让我们有事情直接联系。
在这里入住三晚，可以非常有信心的推荐这个酒店给在莆田旅游的人。来莆田经验这个酒店也值得！

Pleasant surprise

Stayed with this hotel as part of my layover between xiamen and fuzhou.
Was pleasantly surprised with the following:
1. Location: the hotel is just situated beside the garden/park which allows one to go for a jog/walk literally just a stone throw away from the hotel, creating a outstanding urban ecosystem.
2. Facilities: gym is open 24hours, with sufficient equipment and studio room. Pool is lap pool.
3. Hot spring: it is situated beside the hotel, offering multiple pools and sauna. Only managed to experience the indoor pool as the outdoor pools were closed. Great experience overall. Operational hours (inclusive of massage/spa) are only from 5pm-12am
4. Service: staff were generally very helpful and friendly, great experience.
5. Room: highlight of the hotel for me - room was very modern as compared to other classic Shangri-la rooms. Room was large as well. Only downside is no bathtub in the room.
Do more there is no exclusive horizon lounge in this hotel, they just have general lounge which encompasses the 'horizon lounge' on the first floor for guests- Access is available if you dine there.
Overall great experience, will stay here again

Quiet and comfortable.

Located on the banks of the Xianxi River, close to the park. The room was spacious and clean, the bed comfortable. The service was excellent and the pool was great. The hotel is a bit of a safari, and the pool is great.

Great service and food is food. The gym is fully equipped with a yoga room too. The swimming pool has one that is heated. Great for kids.
