Dream to Shanghai | Shanghai International Hotel

Recommendations
If you like night view, keep in mind to ask for high-rise floors, superb night view, People's Square + Nanjing Street Lighthouse.
The first floor of the Old Brand Hotel has occasional guests, avoid 14:00–16:00
A must stay for travellers who like Art Deco / vintage.
✨ Hotel features
The Shanghai International Hotel, which opened in 1934, is one of the memories of the city of Shanghai – one of the architectural works of Slovak architect Dudak. The appearance of the Shanghai International Hotel in black gold is elegant, and the hall is instantly like walking into the old Shanghai movie scene. It was the most luxurious hotel in Shanghai and the Far East in the 1930s. Subsequently, it was incorporated as a national key heritage reserve on 25 May 2006 and was designated as the Shanghai coordinate with the flag of the International Hotel Tower Center in 1950. The Shanghai International Hotel itself is like a museum, and you can always feel the atmosphere of this classic building. If you are interested, you can try the first floor of the museum.
There are several staircases in front of the hotel gate, which may require attention or help from a waiter. Breakfast is at 2/F Funchal, rooms are at 3-13/F and 16-19/F respectively, and there is an elevator only to 14/F, so guests who stay on the upper floors should pay attention to taking an additional elevator. If you need to sell or deliver, because there is no robot, you need to pick up yourself outside the shop near the door.
The room side preserves the old Shanghai hotel style while mixing clean, cool modern business style, the mattress is hard but the support is good, business travellers sleep rather than stable. If you want to enjoy the scenery of Huangpu Walking Street in the room, it is necessary to seek high floors, able to look through the classic window frames to the landmark shopping circles such as the first hundred near the night before your eyes, exciting and unforgettable.
Since the International Hotel is the origin of the Shanghai coordinate, it is not difficult to find restaurants, cafes, stores, landmark shopping circles within 3–10 minutes walk. It must be noted that the first stop or last stop after departing from the hotel will generally be the Park Hotel Deli next to the hotel, but the reservation time may take more than half an hour in a row, do not want to row and buy enough, you can pre-order a box of 6 bags of gift boxes through the promotional code in the hotel room or the TV without a row, the waitress will be delivered to the room the next day or specified day.
W Environment, Services and Dynamics [Rate: 4.4/5.0]
The front desk service is efficient, and check-in can be completed quickly. The public area is well-maintained, the hall restored but clean. The elevator is a bit slow, but overall smooth.
How to Get There
People's Square Station (line 1/2/8), approximately 3–5 minutes walk
Multiple bus lines directly to Nanjing West Road
Parking space is limited, driving usually stops at Nanjing West Road or slightly into the Yellow River Road.

Wonderful historic hotel right in the city centre within walking distance to many attractions.
Direct metro train to/from airport which is incredibly convenient.
Staff are very friendly and helpful with recommendations.
Beautiful Art Deco foyer.
The rooms are a little dated and small, but comfortable.
I would certainly recommend this hotel

The hotel is in a prime location with easy access to Nanjing road, new world, right above a metro station. The best thing about staying at this hotel is you don’t have to line up for hours for the famous park hotel butterfly bread, as there is facility to order it to your room!
