The location of the Inn was fabulous. Our host Tony provided above and beyond service. We enjoyed having a BBQ dinner with him and learning more about Dapeng Ancient City and Dongshan Temple.

We loved our two nights here - room was charming and comfortable. The location in the old town can’t be beat! We also enjoyed dinner here, reasonably priced and delicious.

A great place to stay right in Dapeng Fortress if you want to experience staying in an actual historical house. We really enjoyed our 2 nights' stay at Buyan Inn.
The host, Tony was very friendly and helpful and speaks excellent English. We managed to contact him through Wechat about our arrival and he walked out to meet us to show us the way to the inn when we arrived by DiDi. The inn is in the old Town but just a 1 minute walk out so it was very convenient for foreign travellers who don't have their own transportation.
Buyan Inn also has a restaurant. We tried the barbecue and it was delicious.
There are many snack shops in the old Town. We also wanted to try some traditional food and found a traditional restaurant where the locals go to for meals just outside the old Town, a few minutes' walk from Buyan inn.
All in all, we had a very memorable stay in Buyan Inn.

Dear customer, I'm sorry to hear that you saw "bugs", there can be tiny beetle or mosquitoes gets in from the gap of ceiling tiles once a long while (due to the chinese tiles are just stacked not sealed with concrete), but definitely NOT EVERYWHERE, pls know our 200 year old yard is located in an ancient town that grows a lot of trees and other plants, we can't kill every little thing that's possible to get in but we always try our best to keep the rooms clean, we can help you to catch it or plug a mosquito repellent, if you still not satisfied, I can even refund you and help you to find a modern hotel, but you didn't say anything, what a pity!
And regarding "the room is extremely dirty", you didn't upload any photo here, I'm not so sure what do your refering to, we do the cleaning daily, change the bed sheets and disposable items after every checkout, but if you refer to the old wall and the brick floor, it's under museums' monitoring, we are sorry we can't do any modifications on it.

Nice place, very close to the old city. And to the sea. We enjoyed the atmosphere of the house, mix of old and new. Hosts were very kind.

According to the relevant provisions of the "Notice on the Accommodation Industry Not Providing Disposable Daily Necessities" and the "Notice on Star-rated Hotels Not Providing Disposable Daily Necessities in Guest Rooms", starting from May 28, 2020, the accommodation industry in Shenzhen will no longer proactively provide disposable items, including: toothbrushes, combs, bath towels, razors, nail files, and shoe brushes. If you need them, please contact the hotel for them.
