Descent stay but could have been better if they better TV channels and food variety at breakfast

Surprisingly a very nice hotel, got a suite in the corner, and it seems like a brand new hotel, where all the furnitures, decor, was perfectly designed.
However, the bad part about the hotel is they should have managed the inflow of members that came into the executive lounge. As on the nights that we are there, the whole lounge was practically full and no available seat was around.
Breakfast food for the 2 days that we were there was exactly the same, with not much variety. Though it's good, I think they could've done a better job in that.
The worst part was it is a Marriott hotel, but there's no English TV channels. All TV channels were local TV channels, with no HBO/ Netflix options. I think they should look into this.

Never again, train your staff

At check in, in the lounge, noticed my passport being photographed on a cell phone, asked if it was a personal phone, was told yes and said stop. Turned into a situation. Tried connecting to hotel Internet, could not connect, went to ask if there was an issue, and the immediate response is give me your phone. Asked why they told me I have to enter my room number and last name - since I checked in at the lounge thought they might already know I am a very regular guest at Marriotts (over 80 nights this year) and there is a reasonable chance I know how to log in. Led to more issues. Used my WiFi device and then went to the lounge for evening snacks, no place to sit full of people that have loaded their plates and just there gorging themselves to get their moneys worth, because Marriott like many others including Airline loyalty programs have made the benefit of lounge access a frustration rather than a benefit, by selling access. Have cancelled my next 2 nights and booked another hotel. By the way hotel employees, the internet issue is a capacity issue, not the inability of a guest to know their room number and name…

Very comfortable and excellent services. Room space very big. Very nice, yummy dinner buffet. Various selections of breakfast.

Room condition is excellent especially the bathroom which is very spacious and warm with separate air conditioning control. The landing area is a nice touch. Bed is very comfortable. TV is big and sharp. The only thing is that we did not get a welcome fruit platter which we got all the other hotels. View from the window is also great. Hotel is one block walk from nearest subway station. Neighbourhood is quiet and appears somewhat upmarket.

A Marriott Hotel located in the tourist town of Suzhou

Suzhou Marriott Hotel is located in the old town of Suzhou, about 2km away from Han Shan si, and close to other Suzhou attractions such as Hu Qiu. It is a bit far from the new district of Suzhou, which houses its high-tech industries.
As a Bonvoy Titanium Elite, I was upgraded to a corner mini-suite, the room is spacious with nice view.
I like the afternoon tea, the evening hors d’oeuvres, and the breakfast. The highlight is the sesame candy and the DIY glutinous rice balls in the breakfast.
