the best place to be
the nicest beach It's better than the pictures
The beach was literally outside the door of the ground floor. Parking is also available
walking distance to a lot of restaurants and stores . The host was very friendly and always available to answer questions.

Not what you expect
Unfortunately our stay in in the Beyond Sea Studio was not really as expected.
The Studio was not clean, the floors were really dirty (with what I suppose was sand). The bathroom was not even close to be clean, the shower was really dirty and the zink had hairs on it. A bit surprising given that it was mandatory to pay for the ”menage”, with should mean that also the guest before us had paid for that service? In addition, the fridge was still having opened old food and drinks in it, not really something you expect to find and to have to take care of. All in all not ok.
2. No water in the shower in the evenings. Maybe this is common for this building, but not really expected when you arrive in the evening with a ferry and trying to take a shower. That was impossible.
3. The view in the upper floor is obstructed due to the layout of the house. The pictures for the studion is obviously taken on the other floors below, but it is not what you expect when you choose to book the studio after seeing the pictures. It is not at all as it looks in the pictures.
The location at the beach is really amazing though, the sound of the waves makes you happy. But I cant really recommend the place since the issues above. The host has no interest in feedback from guests and took unfortunately no responsibility at all for the lack of cleaning etc.

Do NOT waste your money or time.
The view from the window of this place is spectacular….and that is all.
We booked this studio in December of 2021 with our arrival date being today, May 15 2022. There had been some communication with the host in the past weeks/days reminding us we needed to pay the remainder of what was due and kept trying to get us to bring cash. We asked for a credit card invoice which we didn’t get until a few days ago, and we then paid.
When we arrived, it was not well marked, and there was nothing in the emails indicating what we should look for. So we had to drive up and down the street for about ten minutes and called the number we were given. Barbara ended up meeting us to park and showed us how to get up to the flat. She was friendly and when we got up to the door, she explained how to open it and when she did immediately started to apologise for the smell and trying to open the window gate saying “the place has been closed for one week, the smell should be gone soon” while also turning on power to the fridge and closing the doors to it.
The smell was that of raw sewage. There is no other way to describe it. We ran the sinks and shower, flushed the toilet, and then decided to go down to the beach to give it some time to dissipate. The location relative to the beach was great, really. The water and sand were lovely as well. But unfortunately it started to rain as soon as we got down to the water and we begrudgingly went back up to the room to sit at the table by the window. The smell continued to permeate and now was so strong that even leaving the door open and sitting in front of the window, we couldn’t escape it. It made my boyfriend and I both gag and we decided after a couple of hours that we couldn’t stand it and decided to find somewhere else to stay. We decided to go outside to contact the hosts who suddenly were nowhere to be found. We called several numbers provided to us and got no response.
There was little cell service and no Wi-Fi outside so my boyfriend unfortunately had to go back upstairs to try and contact someone. After about 45 minutes and several channels later, Barbara finally responded on WhatsApp after we told her that since we couldn’t get a hold of anyone, please tell us where to leave the keys. She told us to leave the keys in the mailbox of one of the other apartments in the building. Then 20 minutes later she offered us a different apartment. By this point it had already been 2 hours of trying to sort this problem and we both felt extremely ill from the smell so we dropped the keys and left.
We explained that we did not want to stay in a different room in the building (the beyond seas studio website advertises 2 different studios and now suddenly there is a whole building?)
FIVE HOURS LATER someone else responds to one of our WhatsApp messages and says there’s another apartment available. By this point it’s dark and I told them that we had already left and paid $1200 to book new accommodations. He responded by saying the smell is not a problem in other rooms and that we could move. We reiterated that we had already left and that we were not about to wait around for 5 hours in a room that smells like sewage, or outside, until someone decided to get back to us. We asked for at least a partial refund.
They tried to explain that in hotels when guests have issues they don’t get refunds, they get moved to a new room. That makes sense. Except we didn’t book a hotel. There was no front desk and there was no one to be found to help us. No hotel in their right mind would NOT check a room before putting a guest in it, let alone bring guests to a room, acknowledge that it smells terrible and then let them stay in it. Also, 5 hours of waiting for a solution is absolutely absurd and we wasted half a day of our vacation. The lack of consideration from the hosts was astonishing.
Also, the rooms look nothing like the website. There’s some extremely clever photography being used to make these places look like they’re larger than college dorm rooms.

4 für den Ausblick - mehr wäre möglich
Das Apartment hat eine sehr schöne Lage, etwas abseits vom Trubel vom Grand Case Strand. Parkplatz in der Nebensaison direkt vor dem Gebäude kein Problem. Gute Infrastruktur (Bäckerei, Restaurants, Bar, Post, Supermarkt). Der Strand selbst ist sehr schön, ohne Seegras, das Meer klar und karibisch. Vom Apartment im 1. Stock hat man einen wunderbaren Blick, hier ist "Breakfast with a View" einen Insta-Post wert. Leider fehlt es aus unserer Sicht an der Instandhaltung und an der Sauberkeit. Die Küche ist nicht gut gepflegt, man hat den Eindruck, nicht richtig geputzt (Tassen waren verschmutzt, Besteck nicht sauber, in den Schränken war es klebrig). Im Putzschrank steht ein Eimer mit einem übel riechenden Putzlappen). Es ist so, wie auch andere schreiben, immer ein Geruch im Bad, der evtl. mit dem septischen Tank zu tun hat. Wir waren bei Tijon im Ort und hatten eine Parfum-Tour gebucht. Das Duftöl, das wir geschenkt bekommen haben, konnten wir im gesamten Apartment gut verwenden. Es ist einfach so, dass man sich - außer draußen auf dem Balkon - nicht wirklich wohl fühlt. Es fehlt der liebevolle Touch, Dekoration, aber auch das Bettlaken war befleckt, die Handtücher im Bad so dünn und alt (oft gewaschen) und doch nicht richtig sauber. Der Besitzer hat sehr schnell ausgeholfen, als die Mikrowelle kaputt war. Barbara, die das Apartment managt, war am ersten Tag gut per WhatsApp erreichbar. Danach hat sie auf Fragen nicht geantwortet, auch nicht gegrüßt, als wir sie in Grand Case zufällig trafen. Für uns eine Fehlbesetzung als "Managerin". Eine Rückfrage, ob alles klar ist, ob wir etwas benötigen o. ä. kann man auch - und wir haben Erfahrungen - bei einem Apartment erwarten. Schade, hätte Potenzial, schon aufgrund des Ausblicks. Wir waren froh, dass wir uns auch eine Nacht in einem schönen Hotel auf Anguilla gegönnt haben.
