Quiet and friendly place

El Recreo is a small family place in a quiet area of Barranquilla with convenient access to the shops and restaurants nearby.
The owner was very friendly and helpful during my stay, the room was really clean, bed comfortable and Internet worked without a problem.
As far as I know this place offers just rooms without windows, but this is the case for about 80% similar accommodation options in Colombia.

Reservation cancelled

Hostal el Recreo canceled my reservation less than two weeks before we were scheduled to arrive. They then tried to raise the price fourfold because it was Carnival weekend. This did not leave us with a lot of options. They should have honored the reservation or at least let us know about the price change as soon as it was made.

Camere piccole con bagno tutto senza finestre. Condizionatore senza telecomando, per regolare la temperatura deve intervenire la proprietà. Colazione essenziale. Wifi solo nelle parti. Per fortuna abbiamo soggiornato solo una notte.

Buena Habitación

Ubicado en un lugar que hay poco o nada que hacer, utilizamos hostal el recreo debido a que nuestro vuelo era desde y hacia Barranquilla, nos sirvio mucho para alojar la noche en la que llegamos y antes de irnos, las piezas buenas con aire y tele, los dueños muy amables nos brindaron los servicios necesarios de transporte para movernos hacia otras ciudades, esta relativamente cerca en relación a otros hostales.
