Relaxing paradise
The staff was friendly and welcoming and made my son’s horseback riding dreams come true. They put on movies each night for the kids and delivered ice cream to them while they watched so my husband and I could have a solo date night. Highly recommend and we will be back!

One of Those Places You Just Want to Go Back To
This is one of those places that’s hard to categorize in the best way. It’s a beach club, yes, but also a boutique stay, and what it does particularly well is strike a balance that most places don’t quite get right.
Getting There
Everything starts off strong.
The included boat transfer from Cartagena is seamless and very well organized. Staff tag your luggage, handle everything, and guide you through the process so you don’t have to think twice.
The boats are small and can get a little choppy, so if that’s not your thing, just be aware. Otherwise, it’s quick, easy, and efficient.
Arrival feels calm and welcoming. You step off the boat, your bags disappear, and reappear later in your room without you having to lift a finger.
Vibe & Atmosphere
The energy here is what makes it.
It’s a beach club during the day, music playing, people having fun, a real sense of life to the place. But it never tips into chaos. It somehow stays relaxed, social, and easy all at once.
The crowd is a mix in the best way. Couples, groups, families with well-behaved kids, a wide age range, locals and travelers. It doesn’t feel scene-y or forced, just naturally cool.
Pool & Beach
The pool is on the smaller side but very well designed, with two sections and a central platform. By late afternoon, the water is warm in the best way, especially after time in the ocean.
The beach is not your typical postcard beach, and it’s important to know that going in. It’s slightly rocky, there’s not much space to lay out, and the water isn’t clear.
And still, it works.
The ocean is warm, easy to get into, and the sunsets are incredible. This became one of our favourite rituals, drinks in hand during happy hour, floating in the water as the sun went down, then back to the pool before dinner. It’s one of those simple moments that ends up defining the trip.
Also worth noting, there’s no “chair game” here. No early mornings or saving spots. It’s organized and easy, which is surprisingly rare.
Food & Drinks
The food is genuinely excellent.
Breakfast is à la carte and a standout, especially if included when booking direct. Fresh juices, smoothies, Colombian dishes, all done really well.
Dinner is a fixed three-course experience with drinks included. They accommodate dietary needs seamlessly, and while it could be nice to have more than one menu option per night, the quality makes up for it.
Cocktails are great, creative, well made, consistent. The only real note is pricing. At around $20 CAD each, it adds up over a few days. It would be nice to see some sort of bundled option for guests staying longer. Not all-inclusive, but something that reflects a multi-day stay.
Rooms
Rooms are beautiful, but this is where expectations matter a bit.
On a previous stay, I had a plunge pool room, which was stunning. This time, we stayed in a non-pool room (Mamon). It was a bit smaller and simpler in design, but the view was truly five-star. I would choose that room again without hesitation.
This isn’t ultra-polished luxury, it leans more boutique, slightly rustic, but very well designed.
Service
Service is warm, friendly, and genuinely accommodating.
English is somewhat limited, but it’s not an issue at all, just something to be aware of.
A standout moment was working with the events team to plan a birthday celebration. They created a beautiful table, accommodated design details, provided dedicated service, and set up a bonfire. It was incredibly well done and felt very personal.
And then there are the small touches.
Each night, they left gifts in the room. Handmade shell bracelets from a local artisan, crystals, notes tied to the full moon. It’s not expected, but it’s memorable, and it adds something that feels thoughtful and intentional.
What to Know Before You Go
Costs can add up, especially drinks over multiple days
Some rooms (particularly standalone ones) have outdoor showers
You can’t flush toilet paper (standard for the area)
This is not a traditional five-star resort. It’s boutique, a little rustic, and that’s part of the appeal
Final Thoughts
This isn’t about perfect polish.
It’s about atmosphere, experience, and a place that feels considered without trying too hard.
The fact that I came back a second time, and would do it again, says everything.

Very Good Stay, Superlative Food, and True Island Charm
Our cabana was immaculate and cleaned daily, and we appreciated that even with day guests on the property, the atmosphere never felt overwhelming. By around 6pm each evening, the property returned to a quiet, calm, and peaceful setting, which made the stay feel especially restorative.
The only drawback for us was the outdoor bathroom in our cabana, which meant dealing with mosquitoes and other island critters whenever we needed to use the facilities. I also think mosquito netting around the bed area would be a helpful addition. If we visit again, I would likely choose a room with indoor bathroom facilities.
Overall, this was a wonderful stay with excellent service, great food, and a beautiful, relaxing environment.
