Good if it's by the way
This is a totally passing hotel, for travelers. Romelia el Pollo is located on the road in the municipality of Dosquebradas, it serves for those who travel between cities, suddenly to the airport or for very short stays.
The rooms are good, comfortable bed, and what you need for a good rest. The hotel is already old and in need of renovation. But in general it fulfills what one needs.
The people who attend to him are very friendly and efficient. And a plus that this hotel has is that it has open, spacious and safe parking, especially for those who travel by motorcycle.
One recommendation, I had never seen a dining room with dirtier tablecloths, really the restaurant leaves much to be desired, the uniform of the lady who served me totally swine, urgent subject to review.

My worst experience in a hotel
After investing a lot of time in finding a hotel option that suited proximity and accommodation for the trip I was taking with my family (including an elderly person and my pet), I found the Tangara hotel; They asked me to pay 50% of the reservation for 4 days and 3 nights, which I paid more than 10 days in advance of the date of my trip and my reservation was confirmed.
On the day of check-in, after traveling more than 8 hours by road, we arrived to check in at the hotel, from the beginning when I indicated my name, the 2 people who were at the reception began to make gestures, no one said anything to us and after After waiting several minutes, I asked the person directly what was happening; to which he responded that they had received a large group for lodging and that for that reason they had CANCELED our reservation, just like that, without offering an apology and without having had the delicacy to have contacted me before to let me know, they waited until they saw us arrive to " let us know” that we no longer had lodging.
They refused to refund my money because it is not allowed in their policies, even though they did not provide me with the service, which is illogical; The only “solution” that they conveyed to us in a very unassertive manner was to relocate us to another hotel more than 40 minutes away, much further away and with conditions of much lower quality in terms of both facilities and comfort (the TV did not work). , the mattresses were hard and there was a lot of noise all night), we only spent 1 night because it clearly did not fit what we had initially booked. We had to go out and look for a hotel again in a city we don't know and, in addition, lose the advance money, all due to the lack of respect and irresponsibility of the Tangara Hotel. If you can do it, avoid a bad experience, don't waste money booking at this hotel.

A pity for the breakfast
the breakfast could be better, I take a star out because of the breakfast.
The room, the bed, the staff, very clean, everything excellent. The hotel is 15 minutes per taxi away from Pereira, but there is a cheap, good restaurant just in front of the hotel.

Good roadside hotel to skip Pereira
The Tangara is great for what it is: a fine roadside hotel (which in Colombia is totally different than a motel). My family and I had a calmed and restful night after a long day drive, as part of a road trip heading to Medellin. The hotel has a perfect location if you want to skip passing through Pereira and the slow-traffic intersections in the zone. I contacted them directly and they gave me a bargain price for a nice, spacious, clean, no-frills, 2-bed room. Impeccable bathroom (hot water but no tub). Tasteful breakfast was included. They even decorated the room in advance, providing a small cake and drinks (very reasonable price as well), so we were able to have a quick birthday celebration for my wife. The building has a wonderful night view over Dosquebradas, there's a small playground for kids. Good free parking area. There is no restaurant on the premises but there is one on the road, contiguous to the property (we didn't have the chance to try it). All people were courteous, nice and very helpful.
