Buen hostal a buen precio
No esperes los mayores lujos; pero cuentas con básico para una buena estancia , con mútiples opciones de acuerdo a los presupuestos. Tiene la gran ventaja que está en la playa de Taganga, por lo que puedes dejar tus pertenencias y salir a disfrutar del mar sin ningún problema, ya que lo tienes a pocos pasos. Tiene resturante en la parte frontal y vale destacar la hospitalidad del personal, siempre atento a colaborar.

An average hostel ... but it's on the beachfront!
I was GRANDPAcking in Taganga for 8 nights.
I booked myself into a Triple Room at the Hostel Dumbira for 8 nights at US$14 / night. I took up their US$2 Breakfast option to bring my nightly cost up to US$16.
I chose the Dumbira because it was on the beach.
My room was large and included a Double Bed and a Single Bed and it came with a ceiling fan. You pay a few US$s extra if you want aircon.
There was very little furniture. There was no wardrobe … so, out came my washing line again!
The cold water ensuite was (also) a good size.
The US$2 Breakfast was simple but sufficient. It was scrambled eggs with tomato and onion, toast or banana fritas, and a cup of coffee.
And, the restaurant over-looked the beach … so, there was somewhere to hang my hammock.
The beach-side location was exactly what I wanted.
However, the restaurant at the front didn't put their tables out until 8am and locked them away at about 6pm. Outside of those hours, there was nowhere to sit!
Breakfast was also slow. They say that they start to serve at 8am ... but, on many occasions, we didn't manage to get served until close to 10am.

Don’t trust it! / No confíe: info. in Booking.com is false!
Reservamos el hostal con 2 meses de anticipación por Booking.com porque ofrecía cupo para las 10 personas que viajaríamos, estacionamiento propio y admitía mascotas; además está en primera línea de playa. Su precio es promedio para un hostal de la zona, y parecía apto para disfrutar con los niños.
Nada mas llegar a Taganga nos llevamos la primera sorpresa desagradable: el auto no llegaba hasta el hotel y no tiene estacionamiento!! Después de las 8:00 pm se puede guardar el auto en el espacio del bar, una vez recogen las mesas de la playa, pero es espacio público y a las 7:00 a.m. hay que levantarse a sacarlo para dejarlo en la vía pública durante el día!! Además, entrar a o salir de las habitaciones implica pasar por el restaurante-bar de la playa, a toda hora. ¡Imposible alojarse con niños! Por último, fuimos a ver las habitaciones y resultó que una de las asignadas no tenía el aire acondicionado que habíamos reservado.
En resumen, tuvimos que comenzar a buscar un nuevo alojamiento a las 5:00 p.m. para la misma noche en que llegamos!! Quién paga los daños y perjuicios?

Hotel cerca, en playa
Meme si Hotel vieillot (avec portes chambres parfois difficile à ouvrir et qui claquent et q certains chambres a des odeur d egouts) on y passé un tres bon sejour (une semaine) notamment grâce La responsable tres aimable et serviable, qui parle espagnol, francais canadien et anglais. Elle arrange bien les problemes liés à la vétusté de l'etablissement.
Hotel sur la plage et prix tres bien en fonction. Terrasses communes. Et la Vue du second etage magnique pour le coucher de soleil. Mais necessite assises plus confortables.
Et le week-end il y a la musique du club a côté.

She arranges well the problems related to the obsolescence of the establishment.
Hotel on the beach and prices very well in function. Common terraces. And the second floor view for the sunset. But need to sit more comfortable.
And on week-end music next door with club-discotheque.
Hotel sur la plage et prix tres bien en fonction. Terrasses communes. Et la Vue du second etage magnique pour le coucher de soleil. Mais necessite assises plus confortables.
Et le week-end il y a la musique du club a côté.

Buen lugar para moverte por Taganga y alrededores
Con la intención de tener en Taganga nuestro campo base para ir al Parque Tayrona y alrededores, pasamos dos noches en el Hostal.
Por lo que respecta la calidad-precio, es un lugar agradable para descansar.
Se encuentra situado a escasos metros de la playa y Eloisa, su dueña, es una persona entrañable que nos ayudó en todas las dudas que pudiéramos tener.
