We left our $550/night Airbnb to spend our last night in Costa Rica at Claudio and Gloria Beach front rooms. So glad that we did. A little hard to find but so worth the money. We paid $160 for the night. Very minimal rooms and the place is definitely worn down but well worth it. It even included breakfast the next day off their menu. The property has mature, tropical trees, including a lime tree in the middle of the restaurant where we picked fruit for our drinks. We had a wonderful waitress who was learning English and was very attentive. The food was well priced for both lunch and our last dinner which included a mariachi band and some vendors on our walk after dinner.
I would even recommend this place to rent a room for the day if you had small children who wanted a beach day. You would have a clean cool place to rest and change with many options for great meals. One of the highlights of our trip and the perfect end to our two week trip around Costa Rica.

Not equipped with anything but hot water and very clean. Perfect for a few nights stay.

Steps away from the beach. Mature trees on property. Monkeys came to enjoy the mangos outside our door. 
Safety
We were told not to walk the beach after 9 o’clock since there are some shady characters. With six of us, we were out until after 8:30 and met some great vendors.

Walk along the beach or go steps into town to nearby sodas, grocery stores, and souvenir shops.
Food & drinks
The stay included breakfast for three of us, which was a great value. All kinds of variety on the menu. Wonderful staff.
Noteworthy details
We booked this room just hours before arriving as a last minute choice. Absolutely worth the money.

Older but clean. It is on the beach. Free breakfast makes your stay a vary. Downtown el coco is an easy walk.

The hotel, restaurant, and bar are beachside. Rooms are steps away from the black sand beach of Playa Coco. Everything is happening from here. Your fishing, catamaran, and scuba tours all begin and end here!
The no-frills room are clean and maid service happens everyday. The hotel staff are friendly, helpful, and hard-working. The parking lot is attended for security. It is important to know that the hotel is on the beach and boardwalk; the nights are quite loud and the morning comes early. The food at the restaurant is exceptional and well-presented. Guests get a free breakfast from the menu everyday. Labie is a member of the waitstaff who stands out as willing to go above and beyond for guests. The friendly bartender Kacie uses fresh fruit to make the drinks of your dreams. ¡Pura Vida!
