Great hotel
This was our first time staying at The Royal Blue and we weren’t disappointed.
We stayed at a neighbouring hotel last year so knew we liked the area but the hotel we stayed in was tired so wanted to try somewhere new.
Check in was very smooth and although we arrived early our room was ready.
The rooms were a great size with a lovely big balcony and beautiful sea views (we chose a sea view room) which I would recommend.
Rooms are well appointed and I found the bed and pillows to be very comfortable which is a must with my bad back. The rooms had an iron, iron board, full length mirror, hairdryer, l’octaine shampoo, conditioner and shower gel and everything else you would expect
Hotel is absolutely spotless with loads of pool areas, although the hotel was busy we never struggled to find a lounger.
Staff could not be nicer, very friendly and so helpful especially Petra at breakfast she was lovely.
My only complaint would be about the beach bar which was called “on the rocks” although staff were lovely there weren’t enough of them and it seemed a bit slow at times to get service.
This didn’t bother us but we did see a few annoyed customers.
Overall I would definitely recommend. Old Dubrovnik is about 10 minutes away in an uber which would cost roughly 8 euros or you can get the number 6 bus which is about 5 euro return. Walkway into lapad is lovely and the cave bar is worth a visit.

Exceptional Stay – Highly Recommended!
An Exceptional Luxury Stay in Dubrovnik
We stayed at Royal Blue Hotel Dubrovnik from August 10–14, 2026, and from the moment we arrived, it felt like a truly special holiday.
The location is exceptional. The stunning Adriatic views, beautiful surroundings and peaceful atmosphere create the perfect setting for a relaxing luxury getaway.
The breakfast buffet deserves a 10/10. There was an impressive selection of fresh, high-quality food, beautifully presented, with plenty of choices every morning. It was a wonderful way to start the day.
The staff and service were outstanding. Everyone was professional, warm and attentive, while still making the experience feel relaxed and welcoming. The level of service really stood out.
We also loved the seaside area, chairs and umbrellas. Being able to relax by the crystal-clear Adriatic, surrounded by such beautiful scenery, was one of the highlights of our stay.
The restaurants were excellent, with delicious food, beautiful settings and attentive service. Everything came together to create a very special dining experience.
Overall, Royal Blue is a beautiful hotel that offers the perfect combination of luxury, comfort, exceptional service and an unforgettable seaside setting. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would love to return.

We had a wonderful stay at this hotel. The staff were excellent throughout and always friendly and helpful. The views from the infinity pool were absolutely incredible, and the sunset views from the rooftop pool were stunning.
Breakfast was very good, with tasty food and plenty to enjoy, although a little more variety would have made it even better. The hotel is not too far from the Old Town, and getting there was easy and affordable using Bolt taxis or the local bus service. Overall, a great place to stay and one we would happily recommend.

This is a lovely hotel with great facilities and a nice location. Unfortunately we had a bad experience with the front desk management there. We were traveling from the USA and booked and paid for two rooms there. We arrived on the first evening for the first room, our son flew through the night and arrived early the next morning. So their room was available early morning we had paid for the night before of course as normal. However they charged an extra no show fee of about 350 dollars and then would not remove it. Very unfair we feel, so be careful with this hotel.

booked a room for my 40th birthday, and we paid €4,200 for four nights in the most expensive room.
After driving 800 kilometers, we were hoping for a wonderful holiday, but instead we were met with a nightmare.
I have stayed at this hotel before and know the hotel very well. When we were shown to our room, it turned out to be the lowest-category room, with no sea view, a small balcony, and a very small room.
We went down to reception and complained that we had not been given the room we had booked. The staff were completely uninterested and told us, “If you don’t like it, you can find another hotel.”
They have no professionalism and simply do not care about their guests or their feelings. It seems that money is the only thing that matters here, while everything else is secondary.
Be careful and do not book this hotel directly through their website. When we complained, there were also guests from Italy next to us who had booked the hotel through Booking.com, and they had also been given a lower-category room. Their requests, however, were accommodated.
