Convenient location, good kitchen facilities, very nice owner

We had a very good experience at this location. It was a short walk from the ferry around the church and up the street across from the "Tommy" supermarket. We were upstairs and looked out over the road. The room was a good size with a place to eat and prepare food. There is a butcher downstairs who was kind enough to open my bottle of wine as i had no cork screw, and everything is in close proximity. Although the owner did not speak English, nor did i speak Croatian but we managed and had a very nice few days.

No answer to emails and severely lacking english understanding

We wrote several mails and we did numerous paid calls to know where and when we could get the keys WITH NO REPLY.
When we arrived noone was there and we needed to "guess" which ones were our rooms. Thank god there were other guests to help us.
After checking out we asked for some place to leave the luggage for a couple of hours (our ship departed at midday). The only option that they gave us was to leave them on the lobby (that place just have one open door next to the street and without vigilance).
Furthermore, they DON'T SPEAK ENGLISH.

Everything you need

We had a lovely view from our balcony, and the bedroom was spacious. With kitchen facilities and a table and chairs, this place has everything you need. Just a short walk from the port along the sea-side path, the location was excellent too. The wifi was strong, and there was a clothes line with pegs.
The owners don’t speak much English, however they are lovely, and will help you out as much as they can.
The shower was very cramped and difficult to use, but we liked everything else about the place.

Not good value for money

We went as a group of 4 and was more than spacious as we had 2 seperate bedrooms a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. Although the second bathroom needs updating as it's just a floor unit with no shower curtain. Also the second bedroom has no Wi-Fi connection due to the router being in the first room. In a good location just a 10 mins walk to the main town and a supermarket just 5 mins walk. The rooms were also a little too dark but the big plus was the massive balcony and sun lounger we had! The apartments are a little hard to find if you're walking and hard to know what door to knock on when arriving to talk to the owner. Better communication is also needed from owner as I texted her 2 days before to let her know of our time of arrival and never got a reply which is rather unprofessional as I had no idea if she would be in to give us the keys!

GO AWAY!!

The owner doesn't speak english, only croatian. He owns the butcher's shop downstairs and welcomes you with animal blood on hands.
The rooms are almost dirty, and for sure very old. In addition, you have to go through the terrace to reach the second room !
We left the hotel without sleeping in in spite of our reservation.
However, he was ok to cancel the reservation without any fees and he is well located near the city of HVAR.
