Older fashioned hotel with great distance to Plitvice lakes.

Dated rooms with very basic bedding. Shower in bath with very high edge / step.
Food really underwhelmed, there was also clearing while others were still eating. Order a drink and immediately receipt and checkout. So could all be better.first staff was a bit stiffer then friendlier. But location fine to the lakes.

A terrible hotel.
There is lighting throughout the hotel that is so bright that it could illuminate a stadium.
You could not hang the shower head and the shower tray was full of water within a minute and would no longer drain.
There was a thin sheet with a blanket on the bed.
It was very cold in the room because the air conditioning could not be controlled.
If you want to sleep peacefully, you will be disappointed, it is so noisy and if you are not bothered by neighbors, you will hear the hotel dogs barking at night.
There are laws and rules about not being allowed to hand over your passport, but in this hotel they don't care about that.
You are required to hand in your passport without a cover and it will be scanned immediately.

very quiet hotel

Hotel Mirni Kutak in the town of Otočac is a very quietly located family hotel. The hotel is located on the edge of the town in a residential area with views of agriculture, nature and mountains. The rooms do differ in size. We received a free upgrade to a spacious triple room with a wardrobe, desk and large bathroom. Everything was clean. Unfortunately, the breakfast was clearly the worst we experienced during our tour through Croatia. Luckily there was cottage cheese and jam at the breakfast buffet, which was my saving grace. We did not eat here in the evening.
During 2 nights in this hotel we were the only individual guests in this hotel. For the rest there were only bus travelers here. The area around Otočac has hardly been discovered by tourists, although it is a very beautiful area. We came here for the “Sjeverni Velebit National Park”. But the water mills at the source of the Gacka river are also worth a visit.
