Our Second Summer here and will keep coming back!
This is our second summer that we have booked 6 apartments for 5 weeks in Apartments Amigo. We could not speak more highly of the accommodations. Here is what we love:
-Very clean, spacious, bright, and new feeling. Full size kitchens, great linens, comfortable furniture. Wifi has been fully updated and is very fast! (this is very uncommon in Croatia!)
-The sunsets! The balconies for the 3 bedroom rooms have incredible sunsets over the mountain every single night.
-Vinko and Inita are incredible and friendly hosts. We love working with them and they now feel like friends. Inita is always asking if there is anything else she can do to make us feel more at home. They speak excellent English.
-Location: It is perfect for us since we are working on campus and it is only a 5 minute walk. It is one block from a grocery store and bakery. It is a 25 minute walk to the palace or beach but only a 7 minute (and $4) Uber drive. We love the peaceful neighborhood it is located in. There is a little driveway outside of Amigo that is great for our kids to play basketball and run around without being in the street.
We love staying in Amigo and plan on doing so for many more summers to come!

Great host and new facilities. Thanks Ivan!
We were a group of 5 adults and rented a 3 bedroom apartment for two nights. We were greeted by Ivan who was super friendly and very helpful, giving us great tips on were to eat, where to find beaches with free parking and how to get to town. The apartment is a good 30 minutes walk from the old town, but we had a car and either used it or took cabs which were not too expensive. Breakfast was included in our room price, which was super nice. The apartment was brand new and extra clean. Everything was perfect!

Big Apartment with everything you could need
We had a 2 bed apartment with a sofa bed and slept 5 more than comfortably. The apartment was very big and had everything you could possibly need, very well equipped kitchen, washing machine, iron, large family table. We had a balcony but no view. Very clean. Furnishings a little old fashioned.
Petra was very welcoming and informative.
The location is a fair walk from the old town but we had a car so this did not matter to us. I would guess 25 min walk and in August is very hot but at other times of the year I imagine quite pleasant! The apartments are in a quiet residential area.
We were only here one night so it was perfect for us.
The price was good when you consider the size of the apartment and it had free parking.

a good place if you have a car
The apartments are in a residential area about a 30 minute down hill walk to Dioletcians Palace but a taxi will only cost about 50 kuna if you don't want to walk or take the car. Petra was very friendly and gave good advice. We stayed in Apartment 2 and there were 2 balconies but neither of them had a particular good view. There were bars, a small supermarket and an excellent bakery very close by. The wifi was very good

Excellent family run business with incredible personal service!
we rented the two bedroom apartment on the top floor and can't wait to return! Before we even arrived, the hosts Petra and Vinko arranged personal transport from the airport. I was greeted with a smile, complimentary plate of fantastic traditional meats, cheeses and bread. I felt at home the minute I arrived! The apartments are in excellent condition, very clean and you can tell the owners take great pride in their property. The kitchen has a full size fridge, oven, stovetop, microwave, electric kettle, and all of the dishes, glassware utensils, pans and anything else you could possibly need. The flat screen tv' sin both the dining area and loft living room, have 100's of channels in many different languages. The bathroom has a full sized tub with shower and there's a clothes washing machine which was a great bonus to have available.
The beds are super comfortable with fresh linens and plenty of towels for the bath.
Now onto our experience.....the hosts Petra and Vinko made us feel like family. They took great pride in providing us with everything we needed or asked for, and then some. Their hospitality was top notch! Vinko showed us around in the old town, took us to some beautiful parks and gorgeous sights, provided a plethora of information for venturing on our own, and provided very helpful advice on where to exchange money and places to eat. Petra was a true delight with adding extra personal touches on the history of Split, beautiful sights and getting around by bus. She always greeted us with a smile and asked if there was anything we needed to make our stay even better.
