Lovely apartment for a city break!
The apartment was a short walk from Diocletian's palace and most of the attractions in Split which was perfect as we did a lot of tours and were never even really in the room.
Ivana who owns the place was a lovely lady who asked us if we needed to be shown anywhere on a map and offered her recommendations for what trips we should take and places we could eat.
I would definitely recommend Blue Tree Rooms for anyone visiting Split.

Comfortable room within walking distance of major Split attractions
The room itself is simply that: a room. This is not a pension, inn or guesthouse. Rather, it is basically a bedroom with bath in a large, drab, nondescript apartment building located about 6 - 8 blocks from Diocletian's palace. If you are looking for atmosphere and other amenities you would normally find at a pension, this isn't the place for you.
That being said, the room itself is very comfortable and clean. We were met by the manager and her adorable 12-year old niece, who was quite excited to meet Americans, stating that we were the first she had ever met. We enjoyed chatting with her about Croatia, the United States and popular music! The manager was quite helpful in getting us acclimated to the room and area, and even provided a handy walking map.
I tend to prefer lodging in pensions and guesthouses, as they offer atmosphere, some amenities, and often interaction with other guests. So, apartment rooms are not my preference. Still, this one was nice and comfortable.

A great place to stay!
Ivana (the owner) organised to have a taxi collect us from the airport for 250kn (about £27 depending on your exchange rate) and she met us at the door. This was miles better than the option of a bus, especially for late arrivals. She gave us a map, highlighted some cool places to see and let us know where to find good places to eat which we appreciated. She was also on hand for anything we needed during the stay.
Location was ideal - 5 mins walk to the palace where the main restaurants are; 10 mins to ferry port and sea front with other bars; 15 mins to the sandy beach of Bacvice.
The room (which had great air-con) was cleaned every Tuesday and Saturday and was spotless on arrival. Free WIFI was a huge bonus as was the TV, with CNN, MTV, VH1 and an equivalent of Comedy Central. May sound trivial but having an English TV comes in handy when the missus is getting ready!
If you do stay, be sure to check out Chops Grill Steak & Seafood restaurant, you won't regret it.
Overall it was excellent though, we recommend highly.
