Getting to know Zagreb, staying at the Hilton.

Very good hotel, impeccable rooms, and meals, spacious and clean bathrooms, it is located next to a shopping center. The service is excellent. The parking garage is underground and costs €35.

Meh .. not the best but not the worst either

It’s not in a nice part of town but there is a tram just outside that will take you just about anywhere. The entry and restaurant have been sprayed with the most pungent air freshener that will make you nose blind for a week. Rooms are ok.

Front reception staff were amazing! They were so helpful with other calling places or providing general info on how to get around the city. Dining and cafe staff were amazing as well! Rooms were clean, the tv channels stopped working for a day but then I saw the crew working on it the next day. I’m not sure if the fan in the bathroom stopped working. Loved that there was cold fresh water to get refills on certain floors. And loved that there was small stores outside to grab snacks. Great location!

Tried and failed

If the Canopy Hotel is intended as a lifestyle brand that comes across as boutique-like, design-oriented, and locally influenced, and aims to shine through personal service, then I unfortunately missed that. The look and feel comes across as a bit forced, the staff acts in a standardized and Hilton-like way, but not casually relaxed as the forerunners of lifestyle hotels demonstrate, and I did not feel a special vibe through the architecture, ambiance, and atmosphere. Definitely a solid business hotel, rooms are also okay, even if not particularly exciting in terms of design, the location to the center is okay, even if not perfect, we did not eat there. Parking for $35 a night, without hourly calculation, I find quite steep. Okay for two nights, but the Canopy did not leave a lasting impression.

First time in Zagreb

Arrived at 2PM for 3PM check out and room not ready. Drives me nuts. It's not like I arrived at 7AM. Anyways, modern 4 star hotel about 15 minute walk from the old town. Downstairs was a restaurant which we did not use and a bar which we did use. In the basement they had a decent nothing special gym. Room was good size, wooden floors, shower, 2 beds. Clean, modern. I can't say anything negative or super positive about this property. Rate per night was good.
