Home Feeling in Larnaca
A warm place!
Spacious rooms (although with shared toilets / shower), a shared kitchen and equipped with cooking and eating utensils, a kitchenette, stove, fridge, microwave, washing machine...
Tony, the landlord, is charming and can help with a lot of things! According to the publications, he wasn't supposed to be there at all and getting in and out of the property through the code received in the email with a key in the external mailbox of the place.
The amounts of alcohol to his menu and snacks he brought us every night cost me more than I paid for the room.
In short, a great place to be!
Recommendation: Rent a car. Car rental in Larnaca has ridiculous prices and allows you to get to the center/shore/everywhere else easily.

Nearly Perfect Stay – Amazing Hospitality & Facilities, but One Small Issue
My stay at Lemon Tree Hostel was fantastic in almost every way. The hosts were incredibly kind and welcoming, making sure everything was well taken care of. The rooms were thoughtfully arranged, with a good balance between private rooms and shared spaces. The patio area was a great place to relax, and the shared bathrooms were clean and well-maintained—there was really nothing to complain about.
One thing that stood out was how attentive the host was, even at night. They personally came to turn on the radiator, and both the air conditioning and heating worked perfectly. From the facilities to the atmosphere, everything felt well-managed and comfortable.
However, if I had to point out one issue, it wouldn’t be about the hostel itself, but rather the guests. For some reason, there seemed to be quite a few guests who were unwell, and since the soundproofing wasn’t great, constant coughing and noise from closing doors loudly became quite disruptive. The doors, in particular, amplified the sound when shut too hard, which made it difficult to rest.
It might be helpful if the hostel could politely remind guests to close doors softly or provide some kind of notice to encourage more considerate behavior. Aside from that, this place was nearly perfect, and I’d still highly recommend it!

This was my extended stay. Really liked it here. It was incredibly peaceful, and the room and garden were spacious.

Poor Check-in Experience Despite Prior Notification
I stayed at this hostel in Larnaca, and while it was generally fine, I had a major issue with my check-in experience. I informed the hostel via Booking.com right after confirming my reservation that I would be arriving at 2:00 AM, and they acknowledged this. However, when I arrived, I realized I needed a code to access the box where the keys were stored. I checked my emails, WhatsApp messages, and Booking messages, but I had not received any code or instructions.
I tried calling all the phone numbers listed, but no one answered. I ended up waiting outside until 7:30 AM, even though I had paid for the night. I finally found a neighbor who was able to reach the hostel’s owner, who then arrived to give me the keys. It seems there is no one on-site to manage the property. The following night, I met another guest in the same situation around 11:00 PM.
Unfortunately, the night I spent outside caused me to get sick with a sore throat, and I ended up spending part of my trip unwell. While the hostel itself was fine, this experience really affected my stay.
