Serene and good place to sleep. Facilities are good. Remember to take the tour inside the cloister!

Looking for places to sleep in Czech I found this place. Since it's something different, we decided to stay in this cloister. We were welcomed by a lady. She could not really speak English, but luckily she was supported by an English speaking man. He told us about the four different keys we had to use (main door, second door, elevator and key to the room). We felt like 'owning' the cloister!
I expected the facilities to be more basic then they turned out to be. The shared bathroom was good, the room clean and spacious and the breakfast relatively rich. All in all it was a very serene and nice experience. Also, remember to take the tour inside the cloister. That gives you the chance to see the beautiful library and a copy of the Turin Shroud, which they found in church of the cloister. There's actually a good story behind that, but for that you have to attend the tour.

Surprising

Calm place with amazing view from window. I slept first time at monastery. Being at that place is really superb. You have keys to the whole monastery:) Place is clean and beautiful. Breakfast are various and tasty. And wi-fi is really fast ;)

Platíte za zážitek, komfort neodpovídá ceně

Pokud vás láká přespat v mnišské cele v klášteře, tak rozhodně to místo má své kouzlo a skvělou atmosféru navíc v těsné blízkosti klášterní zahrady, kavárny a restaurace. Ovšem pokud se na to podíváme racionálně z hlediska poměru cena výkon, tak dostáváte ubytování v pokoji bez sociálního zařízení (společné toalety a umývárny, na pokoji jen umyvadlo) a z chodby pak slyšíte zacvaknutí každých dveří a pokud chytíte nějaký letní tábor dětí, tak rovnou s klidem nepočítejte. Dřív když cena byla normální, tak to šlo, teď už je bohužel cena velmi přestřelená, takže už chodím bydlet jinam.

Malá exkurze do historie

Ubytování v klášteře bylo součástí našeho výletu, během něhož jsme chtěli navštívit všechny barokní kostely tzv. Broumovské skupiny kostelů. Jakmile vstoupíte, ohromí vás rozlehlé chodby. Pokoje nejsou hotelové pokoje, ale klášterní cely. Tak nějak sami od sebe se zklidníte a ztišíte hlas, tak na vás prostory kláštera působí. Ubytování je jednoduché, ale nechybí nic k příjemnému přenocování, v cele je i umyvadlo. Toalety a sprchy jsou společné, čisté. Bonusem je noční ticho a ráno dobrá snídaně, ta naopak vypadá spíš jako lukulské hody. Potěšila dobrá káva a domácí koláč. Jen pokud se rozhodnete pro přípravu vlastní večeře, budete možná bojovat s nedostatkem nádobí. Tip na zlepšení: nešlo by vyměnit umývadlo za dřez pro pohodlnější mytí použitého nádobí? Jinak velká spokojenost.
