Good starting point the a city visit

The hotel is within walking distance of the city centre, so you can reach all the sights within walking distance. It is very close to the Vltava River, so you can also take walks here
The room was appealing and in the sanitary area there was even a washing machine.
Breakfast was very good.
The car is parked in a place behind the house, which can only be reached via a secure gate.
Unfortunately, check-in is only possible from 17.00, so you have to use a paid parking space on weekdays in front of the front door. On weekends these are free.

Short stay yes - otherwise not

Positive:
Location to the city center; extensive breakfast lovingly prepared by the owners, cleanliness, cheap, helpful owner, firm mattress, locked parking lot at the hotel!
Negative:
Rooms and furniture old, from previous decades! No reception, more of a guesthouse, not a hotel. You couldn't walk through one of the room doors while standing upright!!! No information about WiFi available! TV without German channels

Poor and sad

This is a guesthouse, not a hotel. A small parking lot in the yard is available. There is no elevator. The building is old but in good condition, but the rooms and bathrooms need renovation and thorough cleaning, there was dust. Uncomfortable bed - thin mattress on boards. There was no drinking water or kettle in the room. Breakfast very poor, there were no vegetables and fruits, for vegans only bread with jam. I didn't like this place.

Welcoming comfort home away from home

After arriving 1 day too early, we were accepted and welcomed beautifully despite our error. The. Hotel is beautifully decorated to fit the era of the building . The room was large and the bed most comfortable. We were served a large breakfast by our lovely host . A highly recommendable hotel a short walk into the historic centre of Budejovice.
Can also recommend restaurant Klika , where we had a most delicious dinner

The real Budweiser

First impression, if arriving self drive, is that the hotel is 'out of town'. In reality it is just a short walk to the centre of the old town. Reception was friendly and efficient, our room was clean, spacious and pleasant. Parking at the hotel was secure, the supplied key fob operating the electronic gate (with the quality of beer available locally leaving the car parked is recommended). Breakfast was substantial and good quality but no other meals were available at the time of our stay. The owner recommended a good restaurant in the old town, there the food good and reasonably priced. All aspects of the service in the hotel was very friendly, helpful and quietly efficient.
