Wonderful Experience

Quaint hotel that left us with a smiles on our faces. The bar looks and feels like an English Pub with all kinds of memorabilia. The restaurant was fabulous with many Czech dishes on the menu. Wi-fi is available. Drnholec is in southern Moravia which is prime wine country. A number of wines are served in the bar along with excellent Czech beer. We would certainly go back as we very much enjoyed the experience.

Good enough .

Had a 3 nights stay at this location. It was an ok experience. The biggest problem was that during my stay there, the temperatures were above 30 degrees Celsius and the rooms don't have air conditioning. The rooms are clean , bathroom are big and clean, the bed wasn't very comfortable but ok. The breakfast was above average. I stayed there for the MotoGP race at Brno, and it was a bit far, it took us around 30-40 min to get to Brno.

not bad but...

This hotel is in small village, vinicity is fine (vineyard etc.), but the hotel doesnt.
Rooms are old with really uncomfortable beds, bathroom looks as of 80s... We dont have good tidy our room.
There is not continental breakfast, you can choose from menu (egs or sausages or yogurt). Some days is home made cake.
English style bar is nice (because of English owner), but little bit not suited on South Moravia :)
Best place is yard with bench and seesaw and many cats.

Me and my husband stayed over the weekend. Tge hotel itself is average. Nothing special neither luxurious.
The rooms are old but clean.
Non smoking restaurant, average cooking. No gastronomic experience. They claim to be gluten free restaurant, cooking and serving gluten free food. But it does not seem like that.
The bar is english style, very cousy with open fire place.
Drnholec is village in the wine region called Palava but they offer only two types of wine. What a shame. I come from wine region and wanted to experience something new...
For those who like auqa activities and spa ... there is aquapark about 12km away. The whole day ticket for an adult costs 490 CZK.Good bargain.

Great place, wonderful service!

Hotel Drnholec is wonderful! I have been there several times before this trip. I take small groups to the Czech Republic and two nights that we spent at this hotel was the highlight of our trip! The owners are very friendly and personable! They are also versatile and accommodating. The food was good, especially their plum dessert. And then there is the wine! Wonderful wine! The rooms may be small and the hotel is old, but the most important things are there - the people and the service. The bar and dining room are very well decorated - mostly in an English style as one of the owners is English. When you look at the photos taken before these people bought it you really have to appreciate what they have done. To sum this up, Great wine, food and service! What more can I say!!
