Amazing accomodation and restaurant!
I've been at this resort couple of times now! Once was in 2014, and the second in 2016. I really enjoyed there, being very clean, quite, and obvious the best location for a "home" feeling! You can see an improvement throughout years, and also the staff remainder very nice and helpfull! It's not so bad as pricing, and also is quite closer to Prague (about 45 minutes by train, if I remember well). It deserves 5 stars!

Sub-Optimal
This is a rather unfortunate review to write, but I am being as factual and objective as possible considering my experience as a customer at the Ranch.
Unfortunately, a manager barged into the room unannounced on the second day of the stay. Without knocking. Usually cleaners would knock on the door first.
The Ranch (not going into details for the purposes of this review), is frequented often by military personnel. Meaning having the common-courtesy to knock would have been prudent.
Initially, the manager was kind enough to find a room for one of our soldiers. This was very much appreciated (of course), due to the establishment being so at-capacity.
The email stated the the “room” was to be booking for 90 Euro per night.
This is important, as the Ranch makes a distinction between a “room” and a “apartment”.
However, sadly the experience turned extremely negative (again, after the lady simply entered the room without asking or knocking mid-morning.
We had work-colleagues staying in the room with us, for work reasons. The was confirmed verbally by the manager’s daughter, that when our military-leader comes to stay, it’s not a problem because; “We’ve paid for the room".
We suspected that the manger-lady was somehow suspicious that work was not going. I am fairly sure that under EU Law, spying and prying on paying guests and customers is against the law.
The manager lady wanted to charge extra, over-and-above the agreed amount (in-writing). Significantly more. It around 200 euros per night, rather than the agreed-upon 90 Euros per night (which is actually higher than what The Ranch state’s on it’s website, where a “room” is advertised for 80 Euros per night).
Very unfortunately, when we tried to have a polite conversation about the matter, the lady manager was extremely rude - constantly interrupting, shouting and raising her voice and displaying aggressive body language. It was very unpleasant as a customer.
We then presented the email mentioned above in-person, and got into a rather heated debate with them. Suffice to say, we were happy to pay the agreed-rate.
But then we left.
The booking was for 4 nights, and us as paying customers left after two nights, due the inappropriate and highly-rude conduct of the staff.
Suffice to say, I (and the other soldiers) will try our best to avoid this establishment from this point forward.
All of this said, it is unfortunate, as the location is beautiful and the have a restaurant on-site.
It would be great if the staff at the Ranch got back in touch with us to perhaps put this situation right. If we receive no communications, then this review will be published on Google.

Dissatisfied
Except for the location, everything about this guesthouse is actually bad. Starting with the rude staff, through cold rooms and poor Wi-Fi reception to a bad breakfast. There are also almost exclusively Czech TV channels.
I recommend booking somewhere else.

Bring your shampoo
On the outskirts of town attached to a horse riding arena and bar/restaurant. The rooms are clean but very basic, no facilities or toiletries, shampoo etc.
Dreadful food, but cheap beer in the restaurant. You need a car to get here so no chance of wandering into town. If your training locally, stay in town.
