Hotel Skála is located right in the center of the village of Malá Skála, with good access to train and bus connections. The hotel offers accommodation in single to six-bed rooms with private bathroom facilities in the form of a shower and toilet.

Посетили на один день. Нет никаких нареканий. Кухня прекрасная . В выходные дни надо предварительно заказывать и номер и ресторан. На выходные приезжают немцы. Есть 3 зала. Один никогда не отопливается . Советую посещать семьёй

Not good
Arrived here after hiking over from Hruba Skala. This is a medium sized hotel, and perfectly nice looking from the outside, in the centre (if there is such a thing in this little village) of Mala Skala.
On entry, noone seen around reception, incidentally a locked room like an office. We spent 20 minutes knocking doors, ringing bells but noone was to be seen - only distant chatter of staff. Eventually a lady appeared, looking put out that we disturbed her.
The check in that followed was closer to a military border check than what you would expect at a hotel. Also, the fact that neither of us were Irish when presenting passports seemed to arouse some suspicion (of course, this may have been lost in translation). Eventually, we received the room key and front door pin but no further information.
The room was little improvement on reception: small, dark & basic furnishings. The mattress was so saggy and stained, it appeared like someone had left it outside in the rain. Lying on it you could feel the springs. There were some hard towels and a small bar of soap each. Nothing else.
The room was next to a railway line though thankfully trains were infrequent.
I have had the odd worse room backpacking but at least those places tended to be more welcoming and benefitted from a nice courtyard or something else. This room coupled with the reception made us immediately look for another hotel in the village but everything was booked up so instead we decided to shorten our trip to one night (instead of the two planned).
I also nearly gave this place my first 1* review but after spending one night here the hotel did redeem itself through a number of things:
- the room was clean
- you could recycle paper and plastic
- the shower worked
- the breakfast was actually pretty ok (we didn't eat dinner at the restaurant though)
- the breakfast staff were friendly
- the room benefitted from a little balcony, which was quite nice to sit on.
Still, pretty bad overall.

Zeer aangename ontvangst. Klassieke kamers die eens moeten worden gerenoveerd. Badkamer met douche en toilet. Wij hebben er gedineerd. Zeer lage prijzen. Redelijk gegeten, maar geen verfijning. Niet ver van station. Mooie omgeving.

Spíše ubytovna než hotel, ale může sloužit jako ideální základna pro pěší túry v oblasti Českého ráje
Tento hotel neleží v Karlových Varech, ale v malebné vesničce Malá Skála (č.p. 69) asi 20 km severně od Turnova v centru Českého ráje. Velkou devizou je okolí hotelu tj.pěší dostupnost některých atraktivních lokalit Českého ráje, řeka Jizera pro vodáky ... Hotel leží v těsné blízkosti frekventované železniční trati poblíž nádraží (100 m). Relativně velké pokoje byly uklizené a čisté s drobnými technickými závadami (podtékající WC, netěsné vodovodní baterie, uvolňující se ochranné kryty na zásuvkách atd.), velmi měkké matrace. Speciální místnost/herna pro děti. Snídaně označované jako bohaté tvoří studený bufet, kde se tvoří větší fronty. Rovněž výdej snídaní byl omezen na 8-9, přičemž v 8:30 již byla velmi omezená nabídka. Večeře inzerované jako výběr z menu tvořilo jednoduché jídlo bez možnosti výběru. Personál byl velmi ochotný a vstřícný, ale nestíhal, za celou dobu pobytu jsme se setkali pouze s jedním člověkem, který se staral o všechno + ženou, která pracovala v kuchyni.

Hotel is aan het vervallen en slechte service
Slechte service doordat uitbater alles alleen met zijn vrouw deed waardoor je vaak moest wachten op alles. Ontbijt ging stipt om 8 uur open ondanks verzoek iets eerder en alles wel klaar stond. Bar werd willekeurig geopend en om 21.00 a 22.00 uur laatste biertje onder veranda opdrinken. Kamer veroudert en zeer slechte gore matrassen. Sauna maar 4 persoons. Gehele hotel heeft goede opknapbeurt nodig. Verder slecht tot matig eten en kleine porties. LOntbijt wel redelijk maar lunchpakket zeer matig.
