Stay as in Fairytale!
What you enter into this house you will open your mouth. Everything is decorated so nice - house halls, stairways, rooms,.. Rooms was so romantic, I have never seen nothing better before in luxury hotels. Bathroom is small with shower corner but it is good enough for few days stay. Breakfast was served in marvelous place - scottish bar before. Hotel is just few steps from spa city center. I love this place and I can highly recommend

OK, but not quite as advertised
We booked this hotel via booking.com for 2 nights as we were in Marianske for a couple of days.
On arrival there isn't a reception and on ringing the bell were met with a lady who spoke good english and queried our booking. We were shown to our rooms which to be fair are quite nicely decorated and clean. I asked about payment and was told to do this at breakfast the next morning.
At breakfast the man serving us told us they were unable to accept any card payments (despite this clearly being stated that they did on the booking.com paperwork) and could only accept cash. I was asked to cancel the booking.com booking and he would give me a 10% discount rather than the hotel pay booking.com any fees. I'm not sure if they were really waiting for a new card machine or if this is a scam to get out of paying fees? Only they can answer that? If it is, it's a bit sad as if it wasn't for booking.com I wouldn't of known about the hotel in the first place.
Breakfast was fine, but you basically had whatever was at your table (breads, cooked meats, cheese and jams and whatever fruit was there (1st day pineapple, second day apple). To be fair there was cereals, toast and various drinks, but no other choices and I found it a bit limited compared to other hotels I have stayed at.
One of the reasons we choose to stay here was that they had an advertised bar. Yes it is there (same place as breakfast) but they said they hadn't operated it for over 4 years due to licencing issues.
The rooms are fairly nice, but the bed (room 5) has the hardest non forgiving matress I have ever slept on. The bathroom was clean, although the sink tap constantly dripped and there were no shampoo's shower gels etc, only some cotton pads which I found a bit weird and they smelt musty! There were no tea and coffee facilities which I thought were pretty much standard practice now days.
Overall it's quite a quaint traditional place, centrally located, but more like a guest house than a hotel. It needs a few tweaks (toiletries, tea/coffee facilities, a dedicated reception) but most of all it needs to be honest in the description of its facilities and practices.

Not as advertised
We visited this pension for 2 nights at the beginning of July. On the positive side, the place was charming, the rooms were fairly spacious and clean, and it was reasonably close to centre of town. The lady who seemed to run the place was nice but seemed to be the only one doing everything. The thing that really disappointed me is that it advertises a bar, but does not operate one. There is a bar, the same place that breakfast is served at, with bottles and glasses plainly visible, but we were told that it is closed indefinitely, that they cannot operate both the pension and the bar.
One of the reasons we booked this place is because we wanted to have the option of being able to go down after returning from a day of visiting, and getting a drink when we wanted, so this was disappointing.
I would caution folks to check this before booking, if you are expecting a bar, it was not available even though the advertising says it is there.

Fantastic historic hotel in quiet location
We stayed for 3 nights in July 2016 and absolutely loved our experience. The hotel is perfectly located on a side street just off the main street. Our room was very clean, spacious, with a large comfortable bed, which backed onto a quiet, beautiful garden in the back. The breakfast was excellent, set out each morning with coffee, tea, juice, a selection of breads, meats, and cheeses, yogurt and fruit. The hotel owners have maintained the beautiful historic look and added their own charm to the place. Be forewarned, there is a parking fee if you are driving. The location is great, so once you are parked, you don't need to drive anywhere! Walking distance (5min) to everything.

Great weekend stay
Excellent location, very friendly and helpful staff. Very nice and clean rooms, great breakfast in the morning. Would recommend to everyone. Good location -not too far from the centre, nor the beautiful trails and parks around the city.
