Absolutely inexpensive
Because it was so cheap and we wanted to attend an event in Litschau I chose this hotel. It was a good decision:
Nice reception
Great big room, clean bathroom / WC, absolutely quiet.
Good cheap breakfast
Dog no problem
No air conditioning but super fan - at night it is very cool anyway !
BUT : (to avoid disappointment :
No parking in front of the hotel, but a few minutes (walkway) away.
Rooms on the 2nd floor, no lift ; 40 steps ; but there are ground-level rooms (apartments ?)
Restaurant only 10:00 - 16:00 !

Very disappointing experience in the restaurant
We did not stay in the hotel but we tried to have a family lunch in the restaurant.
The service was below any expectancy...not friendly, very slow and half of our order was forgotten (lost between the table and the kitchen?)

If you want to see and feel a little original Czech town
We chose this little hotel in the center of Nova Bystrice, by the small town square. The location was excelent for us because we spent only one night in Nova Bystrice and wanted to see what kind of a town it it.
Nova Bystrice was a very very quiet and nice little town, there was nearly nothing at all - and it was wonderful! We had our dinner on the other side of the square, in a restaurant named "U Toma" which was a good place serving tasty food. The menu was in czech and german, not in english, but waiter served us in english. The prices were low but the quality was good. I can warmly recommend the restaurant.
We spent our night watching local people because there wasn't any other foreign turists in the whole town. It was quite amusing and the evening was one of the most memorable on our trip to Czech.
Hotel Fogl was average and you could feel and smell something ordinary czechis. The hotel is worth visiting because of the cheap price, clean rooms and a moderate breakfast. Our room was in the backyard where there was five separate rooms each with own little terrace. There was a free parkingplace behind the hotel so you could carry your bags right to the room, very convenient.
Nova Bystrice and Hotel Fogl is for you if you want to see and feel original czech atmosphere in a convenient way enough. There is nothing special and that is the speciality for the place.

Hotel na náměstí
Hotel Fogl má jednak pět pokojů v podkroví, jednak šest pokojů ve dvoře. My jsme měli pokoj v podkroví a to pokoj 3, který má výhled na náměstí (stejně jako pokoje 1 a 2).
Pokoj je prostorný, k dispozici jsou dvě široké postele s nočními stolky s osvětlením, dvě křesla se stolkem, pracovní stůl se židličkou, stolek pod televizi, lednička, ventilátor (ve vedrech velmi užitečný), v předsíni je prostorná skříň.
Koupelna je dostatečně velká.
V pokojích je kvalitní wifi.
Úklid pokoje je každodenní, ručníky byly měněny max. po dvou dnech.
Snídaně (8-10 hodin) jsou jak teplé (smažená vejce nebo volská oka, párky nebo opékaná slanina), tak studené (několik druhů sýra a salámů, paštiky atd.) a i sladké (bábovka, koláčky apod.), dále jsou k dispozici jogurty, ovoce, samozřejmě papriky, rajčata, okurka.
V hotelu není problém ubytování se psy a to bez poplatku.
S ohledem na opravu komunikace za hotelem bylo trochu složitější parkování, leč každý den se nám podařilo zaparkovat na podélném stání na druhé straně náměstí, kde nebylo parkování časově omezené na 2 hodiny, jako je na většině náměstí.
Snad jediným nedostatkem byla otevírací doba restaurace, která kvůli onemocnění personálu končila v 16 hodin a na večeři bylo nutné jít jinam.

Pekné vkusné ubytování s výbornou snídaní
Vkusné ubytování za velmi dobrou cenu. Pokoje ve dvoře mají terásku. ze která se vchází do pokoje. Není to špatný koncept, ovšem veškeré i sebemenší zvuky z pootevřeného okna se odrážejí do všech ostatních pokojů. A tenoučké zdi tomu také nepomáhají. Hotel má restauraci, bohužel vaří jen do 21 hod. Ale v poschodí je pizzeria.
Plusy: Tichá lednička na pokoji, pohodlná postel, pejsek zdarma, výborná snídaně do 10! hodin, check out do 11! hod. Na pokoji varná konvice, hrnky na kafe i sklo na pivo.
