Very interesting hotel

Hotel is located directly in centrum of this village in chateau where is possible to make tourist visit. It was something interesting to have room here. Room are big & nice with traditional furniture, breakfast was very good.

Nice chateau-hotel, great little town

We stayed for one night in the chateau. We booked the largest room for my family - a three-room suite (room 4) and the cost wasn't much more than we would have paid for two double rooms at another hotel in town. The beds were very comfortable, although the twin beds in one room squeaked a bit. The bathroom was very modern and recently renovated, while the other three rooms looked like they were straight out of the 18th century. Breakfast was large and very fresh and tasty.
Guests of the chateau get free tours of the chateau. We were there on a Friday night in the summer, so there were evening tours of the chateau with role-playing on the theme of the seven deadly sins. It was very bizarre, but you don't get to appreciate the beauty of the chateau's interior with the lights out, so I would recommend a regular tour as well. Parts of the chateau are a bit kitschy, like the kids' fairy tale area.
Potštejn is a fantastic small town and the perfect place to spend a few days. Besides the chateau, there are castle ruins on the hill (worth the hike up), great trails for walking or biking, a nice church, a good restaurant at the Hotel Praha, and the best craft brewery in the country, Clock. All a stones' thrown from one another.

So Friendly Staff I have not seen very long time

Last weekend we spend a night in marvelous Palace called Potstejn. We arrived and immediatelly we have been impressed by very attentive and friendly staff. Their great attitude continued during the whole stay and they took care of us all the time... We had a great castle tour with local actors as well as night scary cellar tour... Both tours we enjoyed very much. Also you can visit close Castle on the hill, which has an interesting history.

small castle but with warmest hospitality

at our arrival, the young man although not in fluent English but you feel his warm welcome immediately. he and his colleague tried to move our room to a garden view where the room was much too big but they didn't charge more for this change. the food in this small town is excellent with low expenses.

Staying in a old castle

We really enjoyed our stay at the castle. It had very peaceful, garden surroundings. The breakfast spread was adequate. We were also given a guided tour of the castle and were told many stores about the castle it itsef and the families who wonder it. Very lazy slow town to visit. It was wonderful to feel ourselves going back in time. We also visited the old cable ruins on the top of the nearby hill.
