Great Location and price, nice apartment with some limitations
We stayed here (husband, wife, adult son) over Easter weekend, and find this to be an acceptable apartment. Thought we would share some specifics for those looking for modestly-priced accommodations in Prague (which is an AWESOME city).
We were able to book a single room "triple" which saved money, along with a good rate (99 euro/night). The location is super -- 5 min walk to Old Town Square, 10 min walk to Vltava river. We found this available the night before one of the busiest weekends -- very fortunate.
Things to keep in mind if you book here. While parking is not available (really anywhere in the historic district), we were able to park in the "blue zone" (residents only) to load and unload our car right cross the street, and then I drove to underground parking less than 10 minutes away. Parking costs 600 Kr (about $30 USD) equiv per day, which is expensive, but also secure.
Tip: if you own a GPS, take it with you. Streets are very confusing and it is easy to get lost. We used a TomTom with battery that I took out of the car and used to walk around the city. VERY HANDY.
The "reception" for the apartment is in a bar on the street level. Not very nice (dark, smokey), but we brought along our hotel confirmation and had no problem (they could speak limited English, which is better than my Czech ;-).
We were on the 4th floor, and so were happy they had an elevator to bring up our luggage. The apartment is quite modern and nice. Here are a few limitations, though:
1) No windows in this apartment (but skylights that open).
2) It is air conditioned, but the two room configuration makes one room (Kitchen/Living Room) get cold, while barely cooling the Bedroom.
3) No microwave or toaster (though there is a hot water pot and cooktop)
4) Wi-fi Internet was not available on the 4th floor (signal not strong enough -- worked fine down in the bar, and I assume in lower floors -- and it was free).
5) Breakfast is not included. You can buy vouchers for 6 euros for breakfast around the corner -- but don't bother -- it is cheaper just to buy at the Cafe De Solle restaurant directly, or eat at a different location if you prefer.
Bear in mind, as an apartment, you will not have maid service. We didn't have any problem with that. Bathroom quite nice, bed perfectly adequate.
All in all, this is a modestly priced, quite comfortable accommodation, in a great location. We missed the internet connection (we like being able to surf at night after being out all day). But as I mentioned, it probably works fine in lower floors.

Disaster
My primary problem lays with the booking agency website responsible for failing to pass on my reservation to the management of these apartments.
That said - I will post my experience for the benefit of those who may follow the same process as me - and be treated in the same way were as a result.
Due to flight delays we arrived on Friday 19th Sept approx 23:45 and found the "reception" for the apartments. We are a family group, husband, wife and young son. The booking agency had failed to pass on our reservation - when we arrived - all apartments were occupied.
"Reception" is a bar (over 18's - 24hr drinking) - with no PC via which reservation details may be accessed/checked. Use your imagination and envisage us attempting to communicate here - surrounded by drunks and shouting over loud music. It was after midnight when we took to the streets, lost, tired, cold and no idea where to look.
Simply by chance, we decided upon a random route and found a hotel which had a "no show" reservation and we took the rooms (at considerable expense).
Were we offered any help by "Reception"? - NO
Were we given a city map showing nearest hotels? - NO
Did "Reception" offer to telephone and find us nearby available accomodation? - NO
Did anyone care? - NO
The next day we awaited for 1 hour to see the manager. I passed him the confirmation details to which he responded "Sorry - I have never seen this" (And goodbye). Once again - no help offered.
And the lesson is? - You may carry around a "Reservation Confirmation Voucher" with valid details - but it may well be worthless when you arrive. I would say confirm direct by email to be sure - but I also did that and still ended up on the streets.

Wenn Sie sich in Prag Kafka ganz nahe fühlen wollen, dann, aber nur dann buchen Sie diese Unterkunft. Wie es dort wirklich ist, werden Sie hier nicht lesen können. Denn meine Geschichte ist die folgende:
Ich hatte für 2 befreundete Ehepaare über "venere.com" 2 Zimmer im Stadtzentrum von Prag vom 1. bis 3. MaI 2009 im "Apartmany Skorepka" gebucht und auch als "confirmed" zugesichert bekommen. Für die garantierte Buchung garantierte ich mit meiner Kreditkarte. Die Zimmer sehen auf den Fotos im Internet gut aus. Bei der Ankunft am Abend des 1. Mai fand sich unter der angegebenen Adresse ein Hinweis am Haustor, man solle im Café daneben nachfragen. Im schummrig-rauchigen Lokal ist eine junge Dame, die gut tschechisch spricht. Und nur gebrochen Englisch. Nein, sie hätte mit der Zimmervermietung nichts zu tun. Das wäre bis vor kurzem zwar so gewesen, aber mittlerweile haben sich die Besitzverhältnisse geändert. Aus purer Freundlichkeit schreibt sie aber eine Telefonnummer auf einen Zettel und sagt, ein gewisser Salvatore sei zuständig. Unsicherheit befällt mich und die 4 müden Ankömmlinge. Unter der angegebenen Telefonnummer meldete sich zunächst niemand. Und Prag ist am Wochenende des 1. Mai 2009 voll - auch alle Hotelzimmer im Zentrum. Nach mehreren Versuchen, hebt jemand das Mobiltelefon ab und legt auf. Ich versuche weiter - endlich eine mürrische Stimme, die mich in Italienisch anherrscht, was ich wolle und wie ich gebucht hätte und er habe keine Zeit für Telefonate. Und für wie lange wolle ich wie viele Zimmer? Und er sei am Flughafen. Zum Glück spreche ich Italienisch. Ich solle warten. Nach 30 Minuten versuche ich es wieder. Herr (?) Salvatore ist ungehalten: ich solle seine Zeit nicht mit Telefonaten vergeuden und froh sein, dass er überhaupt abhebe. Zimmer? - welche Zimmer? - und wenn überhaupt, dann vielleicht in einem andren Haus als dem Skorepka, der gebuchten und bestätigten Unterkunft. Das sei ja wohl egal. Er käme bald. Nach weiteren 30 Minuten und dem Einfallen der Dunkelheit und auf der Strasse neben 4 genervten müden Reisenden wage ich noch einen Anruf. Salvatore wird böse. Wenn ich noch einmal anrufe, verzögere ich seine Ankunft noch länger. Ausserdem weiss ich gar nicht, was er aus purer Menschenfreundlichkeit alles für mich tut - er wirft andere Gäste aus dem Haus Wie viele ZImmer will ich ? Für 1 Nacht? Die Ankömmlinge entscheiden sich, diesem Schauspiel ein Ende zu machen und verlassen die Szene. Ich warte, denn ich muss zumindest sagen, dass ich für Zimmer, die es offenbar nicht gibt, auch nicht bereit bin, zu bezahlen. Ich tätige noch einen Anruf - Salvatore ist entrüstet, als ich aber sage, dass die "Gäste" auf die angeblichen Zimmer verzichten, ist er plötzlich in 3 Minuten wirklich da - nach einer Wartezeit von 1.5 Stunden und sagt, es sei ihm egal und er würde auch keine "no show" verlangen. Aber keiner fände in Prag heute Nacht noch Zimmer.
Irgendwo haben die 4 Reisenden dann Unterschlupf gefunden. Irgendwann bin ich nach vielen Entschuldigungen zu Bett gegangen. Irgendwie war bei "venere.com" niemand erreichbar. Irgendwie rate ich ab, unter "room confirmed" eine Zimmerzusage zu verstehen. Es ist offenbar nicht einmal das Papier wert, auf dem ich es ausgedruckt habe.
