Great hotel with everything you need in the city for a city trip.

It took a while to find the entrance which is a big dark door. Behind the door is a glass door where you can ring the bell. Reception on the right.
Rooms (air conditioning), shower and beds (very important) fine. Tea and coffee can be made in the room. Breakfast something for everyone. Downstairs a small courtyard where you can stay. Minibar in the room and possibly supermarket across the street.
Old Center within walking distance. We've walked most of it.
Great hotel for a city trip.

Poor staff service

I stayed in Prague from 21 to 26/05/2026 and had made a reservation in advance at the EA Hotel New Town via the platform hotels.com. To my surprise, when checking in I was placed in a suite with the lower category than the one I had booked and already paid. They simply informed me that the hotel was crowded and that they didn’t have a way to handle me and would not even refund the difference because as I made the booking with a partner, in case, hotels.com, they would be responsible.
I was poorly treated by the receptionist Adela and when I asked to talk to the manager, he was not and would only be in the hotel for four days. Bad service, painful morning coffee in which the breads are not fresh, croissants completely without crocants, murchos, taste of saved, pastas with horrible appearance, finally, very far from a four-star hotel level.
Upon returning, on 27/05/2026, I informed hotels.com of the incident and I was given 72 hours to be returned with a position. Today, on 01/05/2026, I have not received any reply from them yet. That is, using these hotel booking platforms, sometimes due to the lower value than the hotel website, is valid when everything goes well because otherwise, it is a push-up game between the partners and the customer is normally in hand and has to resort to justice to claim their rights. In contrast, the hotel I stayed in Budapest, put me a very small suite and asked the receptionist the possibility of another larger one. Although the hotel was also with a high crowd, had the good will to look in the system and got me a bigger and much better than the previous one in the same amount that I had paid. Everything is a matter of goodwill and how the customer is treated. This hotel EA Hotel New Town does not indicate as does not have this concern in pleasing the customer.
