Renovated in 2011, non-smoking Hotel PurPur offers modern and spacious rooms at the very heart of Prague’s New Town, just a few minutes away from Wenceslas Square.

Excellent
Very good hotel for location and price; the room was clean, spacious, and there was also a useful kitchen with dishes and cutlery, soft towels in sufficient quantity, and the bed was super comfortable. I found no flaws

Stay clear at all cost!
The experience was horrendous from start to finish, which was, thankfully, brief.
First, they lied about having our reservation, and the manager told us to stop looking at his screen while managing our order. Then he said that they had it but had reached out to us about half the party being relocated to a nearby establishment, which was only slightly less than an hour away.
After we tried to oblige and make the best of the situation, they told us that a third of the group had been interpreted as "children," while the booking said only adults, and on their screen as well. This was to be able to accommodate a large party in very small rooms.
While waiting for a solution that they were very unwilling to even attempt, we saw other couples, families, and parties coming through the lobby with similar problems. While waiting, we went up to our room; we were met with a "freshly" cleaned room accompanied by three flies for air conditioning (since the hotel neither had a central nor local AC of any kind in the rooms or lobby).
To make things more comfortable, there was no soap, no shampoo, or any other supplies in the room, but half a roll of toilet paper. But there was a curtain from the bedroom revealing a glass panel for full view into the shower from the bedroom to put all of us at ease...
While leaving in protest, they were very unhelpful and refused to refund our order despite the general war crime the hotel was. This was despite them not having accommodated our prepaid booking for the right number of rooms, the size of the rooms, or the location of the hotel for the party.
So yeah... I would give them 0 stars if I could (this is written several days later when the issue had resolved itself from a third party, so I am not rage-writing). I hope no one else has to have their vacation or weekend spoiled by these modern-day hotel pirates.

The Purpur experience…
This hotel is a complete disaster. This hotel is the reason people go to war. Everything about this ”hotel” is a total headache. What ever you do, do not enter through the door to hotel pur pur. i mean you can even tell by the name you shouldn’t go there.
First of you get hit in the face by a disgusting smell like they are trying to hide the smell of dead rats. Then you are met by a 65 iq non english speaking bafoon with no sence of service and Pride in his work. We booked 3 rooms and they gave us only 2 and told us that the 3rd room was at completly different hotel ”only” 45 minutes away by foot. This was ofcource beyond unacceptable but he Said ”just take the train”. After arguing we waited in the lobby just to hear 3 other unsatisfied customers having to argue with him as Well.
Anyhow, we chose to place our belongings in one of the rooms untill we could book another hotel. The first thing we got greated by in the room was 4 flies and piss on the bathroom showerwall. The beds and other room looked okay.
We later left the hotel with our belongings and got relocated by hotels.com for no extra charge and the weekend was saved. Don’t go to purpur.

It is reasonable hotel for the price in good location close to Metro and sightseeing places.
But building is showing its age and breakfast was not included

The staff are helpful and friendly . Shout out to Daniel and Ihor. The location is in between old and new town . Lots of walkable restaurants and bars around the area. Tram stops about a 5 minute walk . Central station is 2 stops away. I mean, at the price point , what else do you really want?
