For a kosher hotel in Prague it's the only place to stay

Our Room was small but there are bigger rooms available. Very well appointed with nice linens, higher end toiletries in the bathroom and shower pressure was very good and I was worried - we were on the top floor! Towels were huge warm (towel warmer in the bathroom) and fluffy. Complementary water bottles both still and sparkling and cookies in room. A 10 minute walk to the new town center and a 10 minute walk to the old town square. Food was very good. I wanted a massage but they were all booked up in their spa so I got a great massage at the beautiful spa at the NH boscolo hotel around the corner.

This is by no means the five star establishment it bills itself to be. Very overpriced and overrated. As a kosher consumer you have limited options but they can do better.

Good Location, Poor Billing Transparency and Disappointing Shabbat Service

I stayed at the King David Hotel Prague and unfortunately cannot recommend it based on my experience.
The hotel’s location and kosher facilities are excellent, which makes the issues below even more disappointing.
One of the most serious problems was the billing process for beverages. Drinks are tracked manually and charged at checkout, yet many beverages had no visible prices and it was not clearly explained that they were charged separately. At checkout I was billed for several drinks that I did not consume, including alcoholic beverages. Being charged for beverages I did not consume was the most disappointing part of my stay. Since guests have no practical way to verify what has been recorded during their stay, the system lacks transparency and creates unnecessary disputes.
The second major issue was the handling of Shabbat meals. Shabbat lunch was advertised as being served until 11:00. However, on multiple occasions food from the buffet started disappearing before the advertised end time. Even when arriving around 10:30, well within the published serving hours, staff repeatedly approached my table while I was still eating, attempted to remove dishes, and created constant pressure to finish quickly. During some meals this happened several times.
A guest who arrives during the advertised serving period should not feel rushed, should not have food removed early, and should not have to defend charges for drinks that were never consumed.
For a hotel that specifically serves the Jewish and Shabbat-observant community, I expected significantly better service, greater respect for published meal times, and a transparent billing process.
While the location and kosher infrastructure are strong points, the overall guest experience was negatively affected by billing inaccuracies and poor meal service management.

Had a very enjoyable brief stay in the Hotel King David. Bedroom was spacious and clean. Bathroom/WC clean and walk in shower very comfortable. Food very good and plentiful. Staff helpful. Only point is that the Hotel has only small lobby. Otherwise would definitely visit again
