We had a good time

Property close to the historic center easily reachable on foot, private parking that was perfect for us on motorcycles. Large room and bathroom. Excellent restaurant. Well-organized breakfast, very good and complete. Kind and friendly staff.

Room was effectively a double, though a single room was booked. All clean and well maintained. Backyard view not particularly interesting, but no outside noise.
Breakfast buffet with good selection, hot drinks are served.

Beyond words

As soon as I arrived, I asked if the air conditioning works well, since I have some issues; I was told yes. I went up to the room around 5:00 PM, turned it on, and set it to 23 from the 26 it was at. At 10:00 PM, I saw it wasn't going below 25. I went down to ask if there was some different setting to use. The manager came up to the room and told me it was cooling down and it takes time. I pointed out that in 5 hours in the evening it had only gone down 1 degree. He started yelling at me that I shouldn't be going in and out of the room or it wouldn't be able to keep up (the door was opened only once to go down to dinner). I tried to explain to him, but nothing; he kept repeating the same thing. If you can, always avoid it. It is the first time that I have had someone yell at me for this type of request. If this job generates so much frustration for him, he had better change it.

DO NOT CHOSE HOTEL MARIEL, ZNOJMO

My stay was deeply disappointing from start to finish.
The hotel presents itself as a quality establishment, but the reality fell far short of expectations. The room felt uninspiring and lacked attention to detail, while several inconveniences quickly added up and made the stay frustrating rather than relaxing.
The biggest issue was the service. Staff came across as indifferent and unhelpful, and basic requests seemed to be treated as an inconvenience. Instead of feeling welcome, I often felt ignored. The level of customer service was far below what I would expect from a hotel of this reputation.
The restaurant was equally underwhelming. Service was slow and disorganized, communication was poor, and the overall dining experience lacked the professionalism and quality one would expect. What should have been an enjoyable meal became another source of frustration.
Overall, I left with the impression that guest satisfaction was not a priority.
Considering the hotel’s ratings and reputation, the experience was surprisingly disappointing, and I would not choose to return.

Great breakfast and the restaurant foods were very good.
The room is small and no elevator, no electric kettle to make hot water.
