Nice hotels, but breakfast is not what it used to be
Not the 1st time we use this hotel, as we enjoy its location, parking facilities and helpful staff.
We always ask for an upgrade to higher floors, where I feel beds are better and comfy for a good night sleep.
Rooms are clean and spacious, but few extra additions on this floor would be a nice addition, such a lounge like Aarhus hotel and justify the cost of the upgrade.
The breakfast which has so far been the highlight of our stays, seems to have been downsized or downgraded. The new room configuration no longer feels cosy, and I missed few things I used to have up top recently.
Trying to cut cost by offering scrambled eggs in small jars, and even smaller portions for baked beans is a deal breaker for someone who loves his English breakfast.
Eggs were not consistent, some jars hard, some soft or runny, and some over salted. Pastries were also reduced which is a shame. We cut our breakfast short, and drove home disappointed.

How sad is it
My reference to the Comwell hotels are good hotels in delicious, scenic areas with good food.
And then there is Comwell White House in Ålborg.
Worn-out, call-kept and uncharming - think that Comwell would be familiar having this place in the portfolio.
Well, but fortunately there are other alternatives 100 meters away.

Lush breakfast buffet with bubbles and bitter
Good experience, easy parking, walking distance to the center. Lush breakfast, with bubbles and breakfast bits. Very sweet and helpful staff. Good humor at the bar.

Staff cute and helpful.
Skønt Superior room on 8 floors, overlooking the park and Aalborg.

Enjoyed my stay at that time of year
Nice sized rooms, comfortable beds (2 single next to each other), doors you can open to the balcony (but not go out on) but controlled only a small opening (4 inches) or all the way and held by a weight. Couch and chair in front of TV (nice). Shower, weak flow but OK, all amenities in big bottles (except no body lotion). Separate room from shower with tub. No AC, so think about that in the summer (now with climate change). It was quiet with door shut but if you want to open that the road noise can be a bother. I took a taxi to airport as it was very early, but you could take the train, stops quite close to hotel during later hours. Taxi to airport in very early morning was $30. Breakfast was excellent!
